Splendid New Year to everyone
Compassion is said to be the foundation of all morality, it's an important factor that has so many benefits such as building a stronger relationship, and promotion of empathy. Compassion is a positive emotion that involves being kind, caring, and our willingness to help others.

I have experienced compassion in so many situations. And oftentimes, I would like to say that my success story is as a result of compassion which I've experienced from God and man.
Also, I often love to explain that whatever we do now, we are sowing a seed, and we tend to reap from what we've sown. So it's in our place to reciprocate compassion to as many as we can.
Compassion is a virtue, and looking as the scriptures it records the benefit of being compassionate (merciful), hence, obtaining Mercy from God as well as man.
St. Matthew 5:7
KJV: Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Also our role model (Jesus) is a compassionate father, and he expressed it wherever he goes, thus we ought to follow his footsteps by extending it to people around us.
I would say that, experiencing and expressing compassion is a sign of Love, love is more than just verbal declaration, rather it demands sacrifice, which is the genuine expression of love.
Compassion is a virtue that in most cases is rare in our part of the world because many people tend to take advantage of those moments. Thus, I would explain that compassion is our ability to recognize and feel connected to someone's suffering, and then want to act to help alleviate it, without having a biased mind or demanding sometimes In return.
There are many factors by which we can express compassion to our families, friends and others around us either by our actions or our services, and it comes with numerous benefits even without being told.
Compassion has a profound impact on us, our relationships, and society at large, thus, practicing compassion helps us to develop a deeper understanding of others' perspectives and emotions, which leads to a more harmonious relationship with others, it increases our feelings of happiness, joy, and contentment, while reducing stress, anxiety, and depression, It also improves our mental health.
Compassion is a factor that fosters empathy, promoting personal growth by encouraging others to develop a greater sense of self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-compassion.
Though compassion is more than showing empathy and sympathy, because empathy is just a feeling of the pain of another, and sympathy is about recognizing and understanding those pains, but compassion is the desire to alleviate the those suffering, which is more important. Thus, compassion can be expressed in many ways; through advice, giving a listening ears, acceptance e.t.c.
Compassion helps individuals develop resilience, enabling others to cope with adversity and bounce back from challenges, and importantly it brings inner peace, which is cultivated by a sense of calmness, clarity, and contentment, as earlier said, compassion is the foundation of all morality, and I see it as the key to unlocking our full potentials.
