I never knew my big sister had been pursuing the process of her Masters degree since the year 2018, this was a year after she finished from the University in 2017, she had always wanted to study abroad instead of relying on the educational system in our country, Nigeria. She never gave up and every year, she would reapply for the registration again while still working and taking care of herself and the family. To tell you the truth, when she voiced out her plans to us, her siblings, I felt for her and since then would always pray that her desires be granted to her.

Then came the year 2019 when my younger sister finished her university degree too and also opted to study abroad for her Masters. You know, this studying abroad never crossed my mind but my sisters have been pushing me hard and many times, I would just feel like not taking it seriously as I did not want to go through that process but to do what I wanted while hoping for God to direct me in the right path. It was later I started paying attention and becoming serious about studying abroad and also experiencing the education over there.

Two years later which was 2021, my younger sister told me about her plans and said I should always put her in my prayers as her wish was to qualify for a free scholarship because according to her, our aunts were not ready to sponsor her and judging my Dad's financial state, he isn't capable; all she relied on was the free scholarship and I never stopped interceding for her. My siblings' happiness is my happiness too.

Fast forward to last year September, my sister sent us a message that she had been granted a free scholarship to study in the US and that she only has just limited time as her flight was scheduled to take off on the 27th of December. Sincerely, I was so happy for her and at the same time, sad because I would miss her so much. She is always my buddy and a sweet sister which I am grateful to God for having. Well, I was more than excited so as not to let my worries about missing her turn into something else.

We all came home for Christmas and that was when she disclosed the news to the family and with the little time together, I was happy and cherished the moment. At last, my sister left Nigeria and is now studying abroad and we still keep up with chatting and doing video calls.

The following year which is 2024 came. My big sister never gave up and she was already seeing this sign that things were working positively for her. She had prepared a lot and did all she had to do. She told me to keep her in my prayers. It was as if they chose me to be their prayer warrior ๐Ÿ˜† and it was something I found loving to do as they are my blood and will do anything for them, same with people close to me.

In February, my sister called that she had been granted a visa to travel to Germany โ€” a free scholarship too. Her flight was scheduled to take off by the end of March and plans were made hurriedly like travelling home to share the news and get a lot done including things she would be carrying along. To be frank with you, travelling abroad takes a whole lot of planning and preparation and most importantly, a lot of money, when I say a lot, a whole lot of money!

My sister kept saying it was still like a dream because the way everything happened was like a miracle that she wasn't expecting. This lady never gave up and her efforts paid off for her. Till she got inside the plane, it looked as if she was dreaming until she landed in Germany ๐Ÿ˜†

When I got back to my place after seeing her off to the airport, all I could do was play a song and this particular one showed up. It's a song by Mercy Chinwo, a Nigerian gospel artist titled "You Do This One"

This is a song that expresses one's shock or surprise when a miracle happens. The song was a result of Mercy's profound joy in becoming a mother and the great blessings she enjoyed from God.

Within a space of three months, two sisters travelled with free scholarships to study for their masters, indeed God did this one. These were great testimonies that I kept dancing in my room while showing gratitude to God for such amazing work in my family.

When my Dad heard of my big sister's miracle too, he was crying. Not because he was going to miss his children but because God blessed him to see this day and witnessing a day like this brought tears of joy. When he cried, I told others they should leave him because he was so happy and that was it.

With this good news, I am more than motivated to pursue mine and not settle for less. I believe God will do mine and in the end, would say, "You do this one" while referring to God.
