No Clutter, No Stress: My Space-Saving Secret

Back in school, I made sure to live alone and not have a roommate. This is because I love my space tidy and kept clean, not looking messy, which would definitely cause misunderstandings. It's not possible to live with someone who wouldn't have an opposite behaviour to yours, so I made sure to save myself from those unnecessary back-and-forths that may occur between us.

One of the things that has made my life easier and better is space. I hate to see everywhere looking like a dump site, items scattered all over, and trying to place something at a particular spot could frustrate me if I don't find a quick space for it. I love to move freely around the house, having everywhere organised and making sure that even if anyone should come looking for me, they'd find space to sit, fresh air easily flowing through, and then see how organised everywhere is.

One of the space hacks that has saved me is the use of cabinets/wardrobes. I'm a simple person with life being made easier for others. I hate to look for something and end up spending long minutes trying to find it. My aunt taught me something during my time living with her. She had everything neatly arranged in different cupboards, and I knew where each item was placed without having to think or start clearing out everything to know where exactly one container was kept. When I gained admission, I followed through with that habit, which has saved me from unnecessary stress.

There are four cabinets (two placed up and the others down) in my kitchen, and I was so glad to see them in this new apartment I recently moved in. I had initially planned on getting a carpenter to help me build one or two in case there was nothing of such, but thankfully, everything I needed to make life easier for me was provided — just that the money was added to my rent, too.

These cabinets actually fit in all my containers and foodstuffs, and that saved me from packing everything around each corner of the kitchen where I wouldn't even be able to breathe well without them. With these, everything is kept inside, and I just need to be opening them each time I need anything for cooking.

Also, this wardrobe is a saving grace. I don't know how I would have coped because I'm sure, without it, my room would be all messy, making it look like a rat house and also an access for different kinds of insects to make it a habitat. Before you know it, I have other tenants living with me. Lol

Just like in this image, I arranged my clothes neatly in different sets: a section for skirts, shirts, trousers, tops and other things that fit in there. Also, for the stuff that couldn't go inside, they are placed on top of the wardrobe to avoid anything sitting around on the floor and to keep it free of space and easily walked through.

This hack has saved me for years, and no matter where I live, I make sure to get cabinets and wardrobes, even racks to keep everything secured and organized, keeping my home beautifully looking and elegant.
