Today was a normal busy day. After lunch, my daughter and I were taking some rest after finishing the housework. At that time, my daughter suddenly asked that mommy wanted to eat puri this afternoon. Usually, we eat something light for afternoon snack, but my daughter was not going to let me down. Moreover, the thought of making this delicious dish made my mouth water. Without delay, I went to the kitchen.
I quickly completed the initial preparations for making puri, such as making yeast, preparing potato fries, etc. Then I fried the puris in hot oil. When each puri puffed up and floated on the oil, their tempting golden color and aroma filled the whole house. This aroma of puri seemed to make me forget all my tiredness. Once the puri was hot and fried, it was time to make salad. The chopped cucumber and onion salad with puri was delicious.
The freshness of the cucumber in particular enhanced the taste of the fried puri. So I quickly chopped the cucumber and green chillies and made a delicious salad. After the breakfast was ready, we sat together on the veranda. Seeing the hot puri on the plate and the salad on the side, the daughter's eyes sparkled with happiness. We started eating the puris very attentively while talking to each other. The crunchy texture of the puri and the spicy-sour taste of the salad were an extraordinary experience. We were sharing small things with each other and enjoying the breakfast.
This small incident was a lot of joy for me. As much as it was nice to fulfill my daughter's wish, I was also very happy to have the opportunity to spend some time alone with her. This simple afternoon breakfast also became a special moment for us. After eating and drinking, we burped with satisfaction and promised ourselves that we would have such a time again very soon. These small pleasures are the meaning of life. I captured the moments of our home-made event so that the memories of this beautiful time will always be in my mind.
