Hi all, welcome back!

It has been a while since I posted on mental health. Today I will share how my new journey has started and that it does make me optimistic about the future.

A few months ago I made a blog post that I had registered myself again for treatment. There was a waiting period of several months, last Tuesday was the first session.

The session was intense, but pleasant at the same time. We discussed my life story, what I am currently facing, how I view the world, but also whether I am really willing to do what is necessary to learn to do things differently. This last question is interesting as it the way you are currently coping does serve a purpose (or did in the past).

The focus of my treatment will be on trauma treatment based on events from early childhood and 2 specific events that occured later, this combined with schema therapy focused on how this has formed difficult patterns for me.

Looking back is difficult, as in I tried to block all memories of my childhood for years, but sometimes the key for selfimprovement lies in the past. For now, weekly outpatient treatment. Which I am actually really looking forward to.

in 2022 had a year of (group)treatment earlier and made 4 incredibly good friends from it - with whom you have a deep bond precisely because of the shared trajectory.

I hesitated for a moment to write a blog post about it, but I do wish everyone who experiences a threshold to work on themselves that they dare to take that step and break the taboo. We all experience difficulties at times and I feel it does take strength to try to improve yourself where you can.

Have a great weekend!
