When the Make in India initiative was launched in 2024, perhaps no one had thought that just one campaign would become a movement. India, which was earlier known for IT and services, started showing its work in the field of manufacturing, but just like every journey has its obstacles, this too is a CC journey. Earlier in India, manufacturing was not given as much importance as it is being given, but when the Government DNA was released, it was said that if the country's war potential infrastructure and strategic location are used properly, then we can become the top manufacturing destination in the world. When Make in India started, it was not just a slogan. It was a vision. To make India the factory of the world, vision, and execution are also necessary.

When practice is put in place, not just machines run. Children also run. Then the name Make in India has created jobs for crores of people. Earlier, we used to see only government jobs as jobs but now private manufacturers are seeing their features in phones as well. When things start getting manufactured here, important work happens and exports increase a lot. Electronics, auto parts, textiles, everything has to increase its support in India. Hence, not just GDP increases. The country's confidence also increases. Apple, Samsung, and big companies like Google are now opening factories in India. Earlier, everyone wanted China. Now they are investing in India because they see potential in India.
Highways, ports, old places, all these are getting updated in Making India. Logistics costs are getting reduced and delivery time is also getting reduced. Manufacturing directly benefits from this. Every development is happening but the lack of electricity, roads, and internet in rural areas is still a big problem. Manufacturing is difficult until connectivity reaches there. People in India lack skills. A trained workforce is required for every machine. Programs like Skill India are being run. But still, what is the balance between demand and supply is there.
Permissions, land acquisition policies, everything is so complicated that investors sometimes back off. India has improved in the Doing Business Index but a lot of work remains to be done at the ground level. Semi Coordinator Advanced Electronic, CHFB used to get inputs from China and Taiwan. Till the time this dependency does not end, India cannot become truly dependent.

NITI Aayog is preparing to launch a National Manufacturing Mission as per its last report by 2025. Its aim will be a central body that will monitor the manufacturing policies, check their performance identify the barriers, and find solutions for them. The government will address the shortage of blue-collar workers and engineers. News is launching a skill program. There is a demand for it in the electronics sector so there are huge demand for skilled labourers.
When a product has the name of a country behind it – Made in India – it is not just a tag but a girl’s first. Manufacturing is such a thing that it not only grows the economy but also the mindset when the people working in it work in factories. When they earn their own money, then their dreams start to look like reality. Just like a patent is needed for success in life, similarly, long-term thinking is needed for Make in India. The government, industries, and common people all work together. Quantity, standards, R&D, and innovations, all these are focused upon and all are important. The environment also has to be taken along. Healthy trains and trained manufacturers are the future.

Life teaches us a lesson every day and Make in India has taught us that if you are determined then anything is possible. Manufacturing is not just a game of machines, it is a fusion of emotional dreams and development. Every small factory, every new machine, and every skilled worker will together create a new India, and therefore the hero of the story is not just the government. We all can make it together and if such big companies come to India, then one day India's GDP will increase a lot. Today India's GDP is in million dollars. But I don't believe this much because our population is also very large, so if in future such companies will come, then the problem that we all have here is that we don't have jobs, so when everyone gets them, then they will get as many jobs as they want.
