Happiness is free and happiness is something you create yourself, it cannot be bought with money under no circumstances. Happiness that has a price doesn't last because once you stop getting the price for it, it fades away. Circumstances of life may want to deprive one of his or her happiness but it is left to such individual to create his or her happiness not minding whatever situation surrounds him or her. Happiness to me is getting whatever my heart desire, achieving my aims and goals means happiness to me and this why I made myself the priority while other things comes after my happiness.
I have heard many says money is the source of happiness to them, which I agree on. Money has the ability to alleviate pains and sadness, a broke person literally equals an insane person because not having the ability to get things done when you wish is a pain to the heart. Not being financially okay to handle one's needs doesn't put smile on one face, just like the saying that "money answered all things". A rich individual is a happy man or woman and to me, having money to take care of my basic things and handle my responsibilities without being a burden to anyone or seeking financial help around is another source of happiness for me.
I have seen a man who tried to commit suicide because he doesn't have money to care for himself and other things he needed. He sees being broke as an unpalatable situation for him therefore he tries to end his life but luckily for him, he got rescued before it was too late. This is someone if fortunate enough to see a huge sum of money, I'm sure he is not going to think of taking his life. Many people we see outside today with bad moods aren't going through difficult phases in their lives, all they need is some financial assistance which is enough to put a smile on their faces.
Having people that loves you and are ready to sacrifice for you in one's life is happiness on its own. Family is everything, some will agree with me that one's family is one's first saviour in times of hardship. A good family is like a backbone, they are always ready to stand for you whenever you call or need them. Some might be asking, what can family offer? , I will say family can offer a lot than you can ever imagine, a good family are shield that covers their own against evil. To me, my family is happiness to me, having them in my life gives me the desired joy and gladness of heart. No matter how bad it becomes and people desert one, one's family will be left to take care of one's mess.
This is why I don't joke with my family, I reject any form of insult or embarrassment from coming to them. There was a time things were a bit difficult for me and the extended family started saying all sort of things , my immediate family was all I've got left. My parents and siblings stood for me and they gave me the strength I needed to push forward then and today I can say they are my source of happiness. When all hopes were gone and you wanted to give up, a good family will always be there to pull you back up even when you fall thousand times. This is why it is good to create a good relationship with one's family because at a certain point in one's life, they will be needed.
When my name is accompanied with anything successful it gives me the happiness I crave for, I love a successful atmosphere , it lifts my inner spirit and as a goal getter, I don't relent until I get my desired happiness. Happiness is individual's responsibility, it is not something that can be given by others, although one tend to derive happiness from others but that's if only one choose to be happy individually before other people's influences act on one's happiness.
