In Terminal B at LaGuardia Airport, passengers began to be greeted by Bridget, a hyper-realistic hologram powered by artificial intelligence, capable of conversing in real time with travelers, answering questions and providing detailed directions within the terminal.
Airport environments are extremely complex, multilingual and in many cases stressful, thousands of people constantly circulate in gigantic spaces trying to find specific information while dealing with delays and time pressure, then, intelligent digital systems are beginning to appear a highly efficient operational solution, however, different countries seem to be following completely different paths to solve this problem.
