Artificial intelligence is already capable of predicting new materials with promising properties; the challenge lies in the fact that these predictions must still undergo a far more complex stage: transforming computer-generated concepts into physical materials that can be manufactured and tested. The Danish company Atlant 3D has taken on this challenge, aiming to bridge this very gap with the Nano Fabricator Pro—a new semiconductor manufacturing platform designed to produce and test materials at the atomic scale.

The platform was developed for applications including advanced semiconductor chip packaging, photonics, quantum technologies, and other emerging materials. Another step planned by Atlant 3D is the integration of metrology systems directly into the process; this will allow the machine itself to measure what is being produced during experiments, feeding data back to artificial intelligence systems that analyze the results and suggest new combinations or process adjustments.
