Limax Dynamics has unveiled a new autonomous mobile manipulation kit that transforms the Trown 2 into a robot capable of seeing, navigating, and manipulating objects in an integrated manner. The key innovation of this system is its integration of full-body control with 3D perception into a single unit; rather than treating locomotion and manipulation as separate tasks, the robot coordinates its entire body simultaneously.
In the video presented by the company, the robot also performs tasks such as watering plants, transporting objects, and making autonomous deliveries in both indoor and outdoor environments—demonstrating a continuous sequence of actions rather than just isolated movements. This autonomy relies on a sophisticated array of sensors.
