There is a part of the human body that seems simple, but is extremely complex, the hand, because it is not just about strength, it is about precision, sensitivity and adaptation in real time, and now Xiaomi could have taken a decisive step to solve this, they presented a new version of the hand of their humanoid robot and the objective is clear to get as close as possible to human capacity.
The new version can capture information on the entire surface of the hand, fingers, palm and critical contact points, as if the robot could sense. To train this, they used special gloves, human operators put them on and each movement is captured with high precision, transforming real actions into data for the robot to learn.
