I have been playing Splinterlands tournaments lately! It is time consuming at the first place but it is worth it. I have been up against some veterans of the game and so far I have been crushed severely if I count the win:loss ratio. But it was fun and exciting at the same time. Let me share some of the battle where the environment was tensed and the outcome of the battles were unexpected.
It took more than 20 rounds!
Well, up against such opponent I came up with the simple strategy. I used Cursed Windeku as my tank. Two reasons were there. One is, he has THORNS ability and also he can heal himself in the battle. A perfect combo in some situation of the battle. I added up, RIFTWING in second because she has 4 abilities and has high health, which would increase every time any monsters dies. With flying ability it has the chance of evading attacks from my opponents. Not to forget, one of the key abilities which played a vital role in this match was HEADWINDS. Yup, this reduced ranged attacks of my opponents which helped me in this match quite perfectly. Also as you can see in the battle replay, the backfire ability was also a key point in this battle play. My opponent's one of the key player Dhamphir Infiltrator took some severe damage due to this ability.
Right next to this guy was my LIFE Sapper. I was hoping she would do wonders in the battle with her LIFE LEECH ability which she did not. But she did an wonderful job with redemption ability and the cherry on top was the rebirth rule set. Which gave me an additional boost to my game play.
At first glance can you predict, what would be the out come of the match?
I am talking about my shield! I gave very deep thought into it. I used Merdali Guardian as my life savior in this battle. She has been giving support to my monsters from the very beginning, with her shield and healing abilities. Not to forget, I also add up Swamp Spitter in my lineup, so that it would give another addition to my shield of my monsters. And guess what? My strategy worked in a perfect way. My line up was based on the mana of the match. As I was expecting my opponent would come up with some deadly combination, which is why I preferred to go all in with magic attack. And in healing and shielding both my last monsters played a crucial role.
Best regards
