Hello!
I was listening a podcast where Adam Back, Samson Mow and 2 other people were discussing things related to Bitcoin adoption. It was very interesting and I always try to listen to as much as I can from these 2 (Adam and Samson).
They are visionaries and have the commitment to work for this industry and educate the world.
Specially Samson, with JAN3, his company he tries to drive Bitcoin-state adoption by educating government officials about the benefits of Bitcoin, Bitcoin mining and other topics.
I really admire them and their work.
Well, let's go to the point.
How many people are actually hodling 1 Bitcoin?
I found this chart from Bitcoin Magazine PRO where we can see that the number of addresses is close to 1 million. We have been in a upper trend since the beggining and one could think that this is going to happen in the future too, but...Let's have a look at the chart:

This trend will eventually end. We don't know when, but at some point people will NOT be able to afford to buy 1 Bitcoin. The scarce nature of the asset makes almost impossible that 10,000,000 people have 1 whole Bitcon.
If I have to guess between 1 or 10 million people will be able to hodl a whole Bitcoin. And I think that we are really close to the top. My best estimation is Between 1 and 2 million people will be the TOP.
And the best part is that, once we reach the top there is no going back. The number of addresses hodling 1 Bitcoin will be decreasing. The more adoption we get, the lesser people will be able to have it as the price will increase.
I hope you find it as interesting as me!
Have a great day!
