So I'd booked my blood donation appointment for today, several weeks before the announcement of the General Election.

This ended up being quite convenient as the blood donation venue was a pleasant walk SORT OF en route to the polling station, I say sort of en route, there's an overflap of about 2 minutes from my front door, so I'll take that!

Blood

It's about as soon as I could donate after my last donation, and I've been stocking up iron with eggs for breakfast, mackerel for lunch, and then chicken for dinner, more meat than I'd usually eat, and I'll carry that on for next week too.

I had a beef burger yesterday, and that's my dinner today too, for laters, I'm gonna watch the re-run of Cav winning that historic Stage of the TDF too.

Slight problem is that my iron count was too low to be able to donate, by just one sodding point, still I had a nice walk. Annoyingly I have to wait a full three months before attempting again, although I could probably just eat a steak dinner and my iron levels would be fine!

Voting!

OFC I voted Labour, there's a chance they could win here, it's close according to the polls, the Tories had a hefty majority in 2019, it would take a good chunk of people to vote tactically, those who might vote Lib Dem or Green to switch to Labour to get the Tories out.

I honestly couldn't call whether it would happen.

I like voting day, I mean I know it's a sham and there's no real choice, I get that, but it's nice to break up the year, taking a little walk out!

It's also striking how many people are just out and about compared to normal, just out on the local streets, it's very unusual these days!
