I've got a fair chunk of resources in dollar terms staked on LAND, when you factor in:
- An approx based cost of $25 a common plot, including a power core.
- The cost of cards staked on each plot
- Around 3M DEC staked to LAND overall.
But what are the actual returns on farming resources ATM,,,?
I did a bit of excel magic...
If you can manage to earn 1000 of each resource per hour (A very steep requirement for IRON!) then DEC per day and year rates ATM (this will drop) per resource type are...

That would require the following PP...

So that's
- 50K PP to mint 1K Grain an hour
- 2M PP to mint 1K Ore per hour (!)
The returns...
- That'd be roughly 40% on ORE, honestly it's not even worth factoring in the cost of plot and power core when you need $1500 worth of DEC staked!
- 30% on GRAIN, here it is worth factoring in the other stuff besides DEC...
That compares to...
- A 10-12% return on pooling DEC or staking SPS, and the problem we have is that those returns on LAND resources are coming down FAST...
Final thoughts...
ATM there's a very good return on LAND resources, but the prices are dropping.
However the only alternative with DEC is to pool it, and there you have to pool with SPS for now as the base resources for land are coming down in price, as is SPS probably, now that there's diminishing utility.
Having said this, card prices seem to be up recently, so for me I'm happy to risk a pit staking some to LAND!
NB these were the prices Sunday AM, so the returns WILL BE LOWER NOW! DYR.
