This week's social media challenge is a little different from the previous ones, because the idea is to tell a little about your journey with splinter. With that, I'm going to talk a little about how I got to know the game, my journey since I started, the recent changes I made to my deck and my next objectives in the game.

My Story with Splinterlands

I started at splinterlands in 2021. At that time we had a huge crypto boom and several NFT games started to emerge. After managing to win a little at Axie, I thought I have to diversify and started looking for other games where the minimum entry fee wasn't too expensive. That's when searching on Google and YouTube I came across Splinterlands.

I've always been a bit apprehensive about renting, so I've always tried to buy the cards. I believe this may have stopped me a little in the game, but it was very difficult to know exactly which cards to use and I didn't have many acquaintances playing since they were focusing on other games on the BNB and Eth network at the time. So, I reached silver at the most, but now with the change of modern and wild, I'm at bronze and it's a little difficult to move up since I'm playing against real players instead of the hundreds of bots that existed before.

Due to not having much time near the beginning of 2022, I started playing less. Since then I end up going back and forth in the game. That's why I couldn't make much progress. When I started playing again a few months ago, I saw several changes in the game, one of which was the issue of 1 bcx cards not being worth as before. This made me a little sad, since I had a lot of cards from past seasons, but not upgraded. This is kind of a feedback, when you constantly change the Core of the game, you end up losing players who were used to how it was before.

But as they say, every problem has a solution. The answer I found was to focus on Modern. So I focused on improving the modern cards I have, leaving them at the maximum Bronze level. Below I will talk more about how my collection is progressing and my plans for the future.

Depois de melhorar o meu deck, tenho jogado algumas vezes durante a semana e notei que ficou muito mais tranquilo de ganhar as partidas. As cartas que eu mais gosto e que me ajudam a derrotar meus oponentes são os Fiends, cartas de custo zero que eu sempre busco colocar e me dão vantagem sobre o oponente já que eu tenho 1 carta a mais no time.

Além dos fiends, as minhas maiores conquistas foram ter um deck de fogo e de terra quase completos, mas tendo as cartas principais. No deck de fogo consegui colocar o Tusk The Wide no lvl 2. Já no deck de terrra, comprei a Queen Mycelia que junto do Unicorn Mustang faz quase o combo perfeito, já que tem proteção contra melee e contra magia. Além disso, consegui diversas cartas gold a preços ótimos, algumas mais baratas do que sua versão normal.

I recently made a post talking about my preparation for Rebellion in which I upgraded several cards and bought some that were missing.

Among my goals in the game I have a few. The first is to finish my bronze deck to full, for this I am missing some legendary cards and level up some death element cards. The legendary cards I have my eye on adding to the deck are: Grum Flameblade for fire; Baakjira for that of water; Grund in the earth; Prismologist and Jared in Light.

After achieving my bronze deck, I'm going to look at the new Rebellion cards that are coming and see which ones will complement the compositions I already use. Next, I will gradually upgrade the cards to adapt to the modern silver league, starting with my Summoners. Upon reaching Silver, I will get better rewards from chests and a greater amount of SPS during matches.

And as I love passive income, when I launch the land resources and the Investment x Return question becomes clear, I will evaluate it and after saving some money, if it is worth taking a small land and increasing the amount until it is a large land owner to the point that the dividends from the lands start to be enough to buy another land and create a snowball.

Currently SplinterLands faces a big problem: competition. In 2022, there was an award made by the NFT game aggregator, playtoearn.net. In that event Splinterlands was a winner, but if you look at the competitors at that time they were games without any great partners, development and of course without the "fun" factor behind them. Some no longer exist.

In recent years, large companies announced their interest in entering the web3 games market, but they had a problem: time. Even if they wanted to enter the 2021 bull market, there was no possibility of developing a great game that would attract web2 players who were used to GTA 5, WOW, LOL, among others. They need a period of creation, development and finally launch.

And that's what many companies did, they started launching tokens, alphas and betas, but still without a GAME. This year, it seems like everything changed, we had the launch of big titles. The first big game of the year was Arche World, from the same company that made the great MMORPG Arche Age, which allowed the player to explore the game's open world however they wanted. Then, Pancake Swap appears with its partnership with Mobox, bringing one of its games to BNB and gaining a POOL of more than US$200,000

What I mean by that is that for years, Splinterlands was a skyrocketing leader on the scene, but now it's facing strong competitors, it's lost momentum and hasn't taken advantage of it as well in my opinion. An example of this is the game Pixels, it has now arrived on the Ronin network with an event called Carnival and is already in position 6. I recently made a post talking about this event and how to earn tokens and NFTs in this game.

However, it still remains one of the games with the largest number of users and is about to have a major update with the arrival of the Rebellions collection. Proof of this is that in DappRadar's player analysis he is still in the Top8.

When I started at splinterlands in 2021 I didn't know about contests, I spent a long time playing without ever hearing or participating in them. Minha História com Splinterlands

Eu comecei no splinterlands em 2021. Naquela época tinhamos um grande boom das cryptos e diversos jogos NFTs começaram a surgir. Depois de conseguir ganhar um pouco no Axie eu pensei tenho que diversificar e comecei a procurar outros jogos que o mínimo para entrar não fosse muito caro. Foi aí que procurando no Google e YouTube acabei me deparando como Splinterlands.

Eu sempre fui meio receoso em relação ao aluguel, então sempre busquei comprar as cartas. Acredito que isso possa ter me travado um pouco no jogo, mas era bem difícil saber exatamente quais cartas usar e não tinha muitos conhecidos jogando já que estavam focando nos outros jogos da rede BNB e Eth nesse momento. Por isso, cheguei no máximo em prata, mas agora com a mudança de modern e wild, estou no bronze e está um pouco difícil de subir já que estou jogando contra players reais em vez das centenas de bots que existiam antes.

Devido a não ter muito tempo perto do início de 2022, comecei a jogar menos. Desde então eu acabo indo e voltando no jogo. Até por isso que eu não consegui progredir muito. Quando voltei a jogar a alguns meses, vi diversas mudanças no jogo, uma delas foi a questão de cartas de 1 bcx não valerem como antes. Isso me deixou um pouco triste, já que tinha bastante carta das seasons passadas, mas não upadas. Esse é até um feedback meio, quando você altera a todo momento o Core do jogo, você acaba perdendo jogadores que estavam acostumados como era antes.

Mas como dizem, todo problema possui uma solução. A resposta que eu achei foi focar no Modern. Então foquei em melhorar as cartas modern que eu tenho deixando no max level do Bronze. Logo mais embaixo vou falar mais sobre como está o progresso da minha coleção e meus planos para o futuro.

Eu fiz um post recentemente falando sobre a minha preparação para o Rebellion em que eu dei upgrade em diversas cartas e comprei algumas que faltavam.

Dentre os meus objetivos no jogo eu tenho alguns. O primeiro é terminar o meu deck bronze no full, para isso, está faltando algumas cartas lendárias e subir o nível de algumas cartas do elemento death. As cartas lendárias que eu estou de olho para adicionar ao deck são: Grum Flameblade para o fogo; Baakjira para o de água; Grund no de terra; Prismologist e Jared no de Light.

Depois de conquistar o meu deck de bronze, vou ver as novas cartas do rebellion que estão chegando e ver quais vão complementar as composições que eu já uso. Em seguida, vou indo aos poucos upando as cartas para me adequar a liga de prata do modern começando com os meus Summoners. Chegando no Prata, eu vou conseguir recompensas melhores dos baús e uma maior quantidade SPS durante as partidas.

E como eu adoro uma renda passiva, quando lançar os recursos das lands e ficar claro a questão Investimento x Retorno vou avaliar e depois de juntar um dinheiro, se valer a pena pegar uma land pequena e ir aumentando a quantidade até ser um grande dono de terras até o ponto de que os dividendos das lands comecem a ser suficientes para comprar outra land e criar um snowball.

O cenário agora é outro

Atualmente o SplinterLands enfrenta um grande problemas, a competição. Teve em 2022 um award feito pelo agregador de jogos nft, o playtoearn.net. Nesse evento o Splinterlands foi um vencedor, mas se você olhar os concorrentes daquela época eram jogos sem nenhum grande parceiro, desenvolvimento e claro sem o fator "diversão" por trás. Alguns já nem existem mais.

Nos últimos anos, grandes empresas divulgaram seu interesse de entrar nom ercado de jogos web3, mas tinham um problema: tempo. Mesmo que elas quisessem entrar no bull market de 2021, não havia possibilidade de desenvolver um grande jogo que atraísse os jogadores web2 que estavama costumados com GTA 5, WOW, LOL, entre outros. Eles precisam de um período de criação, desenvolvimento e por fim lançamento.

E foi isso que muitas empresas fizeram, começaram a lançar tokens, alphas e betas, mas ainda sem um JOGO. Nesse ano, parece que tudo mudou, tivemos lançamentos de grandes títulos. Quando eu comecei no splinterlands em 2021 eu não sabia dos contest, fiquei por muito tempo jogando sem nunca ouvir ou participar deles. A verdade mesmo é que eu nem tinha ideia que a Hive tinha esses sitema de blogs, porque como eu disse acima minha conta foi criada pelo splinterlands, então não tive esse contato com os Blogs. Quando eu descobri, vi que tinha uma grande oportunidade de falar sobre o jogo que eu estava jogando, ganhar por isso e melhor ainda melhorar as minhas cartas. A gente fica depois com aquele pensamento de "Ah se eu tivesse descober isso antes", mas não adianta ficar remoendo o passado, tem que considerar o seu dia 0 a partir do momento que você toma conhecimento.

Então minha dica é aproveitem essa oportunidade que a hive proporciona junto do time do splinterlands que criam esse incrível Contest. Aonde você vai ter chance de falar do seu jogo e ganhar por isso? Aproveita essa chance e vai melhorando o seu deck, conquistando ligas maiores e aumentando o nível das suas cartas.
