«Hola, dormilona. ¿Cómo te sientes?».
«Me duele la cabeza y el pecho. ¿Dónde estoy?». Carry trataba de levantarse.
«Calma, calma, debes reposar o la enfermera te regañará. Jaja».
«¿Qué me sucedió?».

The Halloween Mask
Chapter two
Anderson and Carry were arriving at the gas station and the place was fenced off by the officers. The yellow ribbons moved to and fro in the gentle night breeze. Detectives were inspecting the place in detail, then they saw the body. An officer came up and told them.
"Good evening, detectives." The officer was wearing an austere smile.
"Good evening, Officer. What have we got for you?" Carry was uncovering the victim's face.
"The victim is a young woman about 25 years old. We arrested a suspect who was searching the body. We have it in the truck." The officer was pointing at the vehicle.
"I want to talk to the suspect." Carry took out a black notebook.
The officer was leading detectives to where the suspect was. They were opening the back door of the van and the man was lying on the floor with the mask by his side. Everyone was stunned. Then Carry reacted.
"The killer is still in the area. Search everything," Carry gave the order.
Anderson and Carry set out on the hunt for the murdered man. At one point, the detectives separated and Carry went into a wooded area, moving the flashlight from one side to the other. At that moment, a shadow was slipping through the trees. Carry on high alert was screaming.
"Stop it!». Carry was still running after the silhouette.
The breeze was getting colder and the trees were hissing as the detective passed. The silhouette was lost and Carry was looking everywhere. He called Anderson on his cell phone.
"Anderson, I need...».
The shadows invaded Carry's eyes. After an indeterminate time, the detective opened her eyes and rubbed them to make the images clearer. She was hanging from a tree, held by her wrists, that shadow was approaching and on her head she had that mask. Carry was moving violently trying to get loose.
That shadow kept coming closer to the woman. Carry felt terror coursing through every fiber of his body. He wanted to let out a few screams, but it was impossible for him, he seemed to have no voice. The only thing she could do was move, but that shadow was at the foot of the tree, and Carry was staring at it with wide, bulging eyes. She leapt over to where Carry was and floated in front of her.
That mask was in front of the detective, it had that orange glow that surrounded the whole body of that black silhouette. The bowls of the mask were of a deep dark and looked undaunted at the woman. Carry continued to move violently, while he saw that the arm of that shadow extended towards his chest. The detective was trying to resist, but there was nothing she could do.
"Heeelp!"
The sound of the scream made crows fly, while a sinister laughter penetrated the terrified Carry's eardrums, then the shadow's arm turned into a spear and pierced the woman's chest. Carry was screaming desperately and at that instant...
"Wake up, wake up, Carry."
Carry's eyes were opening and he was looking at his partner Anderson.
"Hello, sleepy. How are you feeling?"
"My head and chest hurt. Where am I?" Carry was trying to get up.
"Calm down, calm down, you must rest or the nurse will scold you. Haha."
"What happened to me?" Carry stared in amazement at the white room.
"After you called, we found you lying in the park. We thought the worst. Luckily you were just passed out." Anderson was touching Carry's forehead. "Do you know what happened to you before you passed out?"
Carry dissented looking dumbfounded at her companion. After several days, Carry returned to the police station and resumed the case.
"Anderson, what have we got again?"
"For now, the killer in the mask is missing, but on Halloween night he will definitely come out. We must be prepared." Anderson was drumming on the desk.
"Tomorrow is our killer's big day. Do we have any indication of the clues?"
"Nothing conclusive. It's the same in this case. Everything is very mysterious." Anderson got up and looked out the window. "What is that old man doing there?"
"What are you talking about?" Carry was going to look at the window. The detective was opening her eyes as wide as possible. "I know that old tramp."
Carry was running out of the office, when he reached the street the homeless man was sitting on the sidewalk, drinking from a bottle that was stuffed into a crumpled yellow paper bag.
"Hey, man. Can I ask you a few questions?" Carry was squatting.
"Good morning, Carry. How's the devil's case going?" The tramp was taking a sip of his drink.
"How do you know my name, old man?" Carry was grabbing the vagrant by the neck.
"Calm down, calm down.... I read it on the news... Haha."
"Tell me what you know about the mask killer." Carry was still holding the tramp by the neck.
"They are playing with fire. They should leave him alone... The devil only wants souls... Hip, hip... Do you have a little coin? Hip, hip." The tramp was stretching out his grimy hand.
"Are you playing with me, man?" Carry was giving him a slap.
"Haha... Hip, hip... The devil loves you... Haha..." The tramp's eyes shone with an orange glow and blinded Carry, who fell unconscious.
