In battles with the Rise of the Commons Ruleset, only Common and Rare Monsters may be used, but Summoners are unaffected by this rule. I would say that the Rise of the Commons ruleset is one of my favorite rulesets because my deck is richer in Common and Rare cards and their levels are higher than epic and legendary cards.

I will share one of my most interesting battles with the Rise of the Commons Ruleset, I hope you like it.

Battle Ruleset

  • Rise of the Commons: Only Common and Rare Monsters may be used in battles.
  • Heavy Hitters: All Monsters have the Knock Out ability.

Knock Out Ability : Does double damage when attacking an enemy that is stunned.

MY STRATEGY

Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the recent 5 battles of the opposing player, to be honest, it was very difficult to predict what kind of strategy the opponent player would form a team with, so I had to consider every possibility to win this battle. Since the battle has the Heavy Hitters ruleset, all monsters in this battle would have the Knock Out ability, so I will definitely use a monster with the Stun Ability.

Since I thought Chimney Wallstop would help me a lot in winning this battle, I was going to add him to my team, so I chose Eternan Brune as the Summoner. Additionally, reducing the armor of all monsters on the opposing team by 2 would be of great benefit to my team in this battle because I would use melee and ranged attack monsters.

Additionally, since I think it would be advantageous for all monsters in my team to have extra +2 armor, I will add Ferox Defender with the Protect Ability to my team. I will also add 2 monsters with the Martyr Ability to my team. I will put Septic Slime with Stun Ability in the first position. Chimney Wallstop is a gladiator who is very powerful and very dangerous to opponents and very brutal, he will attack much more brutally against stunned monsters.

My team's lineup is as follows;

LINE UP

Summoner : ETERNAN BRUNE

Eternan Brune is a Fire Summoner who reduces the armor of all enemy monsters by -2 and allows the use of one additional Gladiator card in battle.

Position 1: SEPTIC SLIME

Septic Slime is a Fire Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Stun Ability from level 1. Since the battle had the Heavy Hitters ruleset, all monsters in this battle would have the Knock Out Ability, so I added Septic Slime with the Stun Ability to my team. Since Septic Slime couldn't attack except in the first position, I put it in the first position.

  • Stun Ability : When a Unit with Stun hits a target, there is a 50% chance that the target will skip its next turn.

Image from thread

Position 2: CHIMNEY WALLSTOP

Chimney Wallstop is a Fire Gladiator that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Reach Ability, Bloodlust Ability and Repair Ability at level 5. I thought Chimney Wallstop would be very effective in this battle, so I was relying on him a lot in this battle. Since Chimney Wallstop has the Reach Ability, I put him in the second position.

  • Reach Ability : Melee attack Units with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team.

  • Bloodlust Ability : This Monster revels in the glory of combat and becomes more dangerous as the battle goes on. Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats.

  • Repair Ability : Restores a third of max armor to the friendly Unit whose armor has taken the most damage.

Position 3: VENARI MARKSRAT

Venari Marksrat is a Neutral Monster that can attack the target with a Ranged Attack and has Martyr Ability from level 1. The most important reason I added Venari Marksrat to my team in this battle was because it had the Martyr Ability and cost only 3 mana. I put Venari Marksrat in third position.

  • Martyr Ability : When this Unit dies, adjacent Units get +1 to all stats.

Position 4 : FEROX DEFENDER

Ferox Defender is a Fire Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Protect Ability from level 1. The most important reason I added Ferox Defender to my team in this battle was because it had the Protect Ability. I believed that having all monsters in my team with an extra +2 armor would be beneficial in this battle. And I put Ferox Defender in fourth position.

Protect Ability : All friendly Units gain +2 Armor.

Position 5 : FIRECALLER

Firecaller is a Fire Monster that can attack the target with Ranged Attacks and has Martyr Ability from level 1. The most important reason I added Firecaller to my team in this battle was because it had the Martyr Ability and could attack with 3 ranged attacks I put Firecaller in fifth position.

  • Martyr Ability : When this Unit dies, adjacent Units get +1 to all stats.

Position 6: CHAOS AGENT

Chaos Agent is a *Neutral Monster that has no attack power and has Dodge Ability from level 1. TThe main reason I added Chaos Agent to my team was that it only costs 1 mana. Since Chaos Agent has the Dodge Ability, I put it in the last position. My goal was to stall the Sneak and Opportunity Monsters on the opposing team.

  • Dodge Ability : Has a 25% higher chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.

BATTLE COMMENTS

You can watch the entire battle from the video or from the Battle Link

Round 1

In the first round, the opposing team's attacks were much more effective and it was admirable that none of them missed. It was great that Septic Slime stunned the opposing team's Ferox Defender, which meant that the Ferox Defender would be easily destroyed in the next round. While one monster from my team was destroyed in the first round, no monster from the opposing team could be destroyed.

Round 2

In the second round, Chimney Wallstop attacked brutally, destroying Ferox Defender in one hit, which also meant that Chimney Wallstop received +1 to all its stats. And now Chimney Wallstop was more dangerous to enemies. Also, it was admirable that Septic Slime also stunned the Radiated Brute at the end of the second round, which meant that the Radiated Brute would be easily destroyed in the next round.

Round 3

In the third round, Chimney Wallstop succeeded in destroying the Radiated Brute and Chimney Wallstop was much more dangerous for the enemies. Chimney Wallstop was revelling in the glory of battle. Ferox Defender really showed great performance in this battle and managed to stun Disintegrator as well. Ferox Defender and Chimney Wallstop were really doing a great job in this battle.

Round 4

Chimney Wallstop also managed to destroy Disintegrator. It was admirable that all of Chimney Wallstop's stats increased by +1 each round, making him much more effective in this battle. In the fourth round, another monster from the opposing team was destroyed, leaving only 3 monsters on the opposing team.

Round 5

It was now very difficult to deal with Chimney Wallstop and survive his attacks. Additionally, the monsters on the opposing team did not have armor, so it was very easy for Chimney Wallstop to destroy one monster with each hit. In the fifth round, Chimney Wallstop also managed to destroy Tenyii Striker.

Round 6

By the sixth round, the opposing team's hope of winning was almost gone. Chimney Wallstop also destroyed Dhampir Infiltrator and only Gargoya Devil remained on the opposing team.

Round 7

And Chimney Wallstop managed to destroy Gargoya Devil as well and my team managed to win this very tough battle.

Chimney Wallstop was truly amazing in this battle, and in this battle he made the final blow to all enemy monsters, which allowed him to reach incredible stats at the end of the battle. It was admirable that by the end of the battle Chimney Wallstop had 12 melee, 7 speed, 8 armor, and 14 health.

BATTLE RESULTS

The battle lasted 7 rounds and my team managed to win this very tough battle. To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was pretty good, but my strategy worked better. Especially using the Stun Ability helped my team a lot in this battle and made my strategy work better. Using the Stun Ability and the Knock Out ability together is very effective in battles, and this battle was one of the best examples of this. I recommend you to watch this great and quite challenging battle from the Battle Link. I hope you will like it.
