In battles with the Unprotected ruleset, Monsters do not have any armor and cannot gain armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs, in other words all armor is removed from units. However, Shield and Divine Shield are unaffected.

Monsters without armor can be destroyed more easily by Melee Attack and Ranged Attack Monsters, so I prefer Melee Attack Monsters and Ranged Attack Monsters in the Unprotected ruleset. In particular, Sneak Ability, Double Strike Ability and Opportunity Ability are my favorites in battles with the Unprotected ruleset.
Additionally, having high speed can be a great advantage in battles with the Unprotected Ruleset, because being the first to attack is often very useful in battles since the monsters are unarmored. Of course, this is valid if there is no Reverse Speed ruleset in the battle ruleset I mentioned, because in battles with the Reverse Speed ruleset, Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.
To support what I mentioned above, I will share one of my most interesting battles with the Unprotected ruleset, I hope you like it.

MY STRATEGY
Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the recent 5 battles of the opposing player, I saw that the opposing player had very powerful cards, and I knew that I would be fighting against a level 5 or level 6 Summoner in this battle. This battle was going to be very difficult for me, so I needed a much better strategy.
Considering the rulesets of the battle, I believed that both attacking stronger and having higher speed would help my team to win this battle, and I determined my strategy accordingly.
Frankly, I thought Katrelba Gobson could help me a lot in winning this battle, so I will base my entire strategy on it.
First of all, I chose Helios Matriarch as the summoner so that I could use my Katrelba Gobson card. Helios Matriarch would not only allow me to use a gladiator card but also increase the speed of all friendly monsters by +1. Also, thanks to Helios Matriarch, I will be able to use Dragon cards in this battle. I will also use the Inspire Ability so that Katrelba Gobson can attack targets more powerfully. The other cards I added to my team were just to stall the enemies, I can say that I took care to choose cards with low mana value and high speed.
LINE UP
Summoner : HELIOS MATRIARCH
Helios Matriarch is a Dragon Summoner that allows the use of one additional Gladiator card in battle, and grants +1 speed to all friendly monsters. I chose Helios Matriarch as the Summoner to be able to use the Katrelba Gobson card in this battle. Additionally, thanks to the Helios Matriarch, all friendly monsters would have +1 speed, and I believed that having high speed was advantageous in this battle.
Position 1: FUNGUS FIEND
Fungus Fiend is a Earth Monster that can attack the target with a Melee Attack. The most important reason why I added Fungus Fiend to my team was that it cost 0 mana and I put it in the first position.
Position 2: KRA'AR XOC
Kra'ar Xoc is a Dragon that has no attack power and has Scavenger Ability from level 1. The main reasons why I added Kra'ar Xoc to the team was that it has the Scavenger Ability, 4 Speed and only costs 1 mana, and I put it in the second position.

Scavenger Ability : Gains 1 max health each time any unit dies.
Position 3: THANE NEWSONG
Thane Newsong is a Earth Monster that has no attack power and has Inspire Ability and Strengthen Ability at level 3. Even though Thane Newsong does not have attack power, I added it to my team because I believe that it will benefit the team with its abilities. In particular, thanks to its Inspire Ability, Katrelba Gobson would be able to attack targets more powerfully. And I put it in the third position.

Inspire Ability : Gives all friendly Units +1 Melee attack.

Strengthen Ability : All friendly Units have their Health increased by 1.
Position 4: KATRELBA GOBSON
Katrelba Gobson is a Gladiator that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has the Bloodlust Ability, Sneak Ability and Double Strike Ability from level 1. Katrelba Gobson is a really powerful gladiator and my aim in this battle was to destroy all the enemies, starting from the monster in the last position of the opposing team, with Katrelba Gobson. I put Katrelba Gobson in the fourth position so that it would not be the first target of the enemies, because its destruction would mean that I would lose the battle.

Bloodlust Ability : This Monster revels in the glory of combat and becomes more dangerous as the battle goes on. Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats.

Sneak Ability : Targets the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit.

Double Strike Ability : This unit attacks twice each round.
Position 5: CHAOS AGENT
Chaos Agent is a Neutral Monster that has no attack power and has Dodge Ability from level 1. The reasons I added Chaos Agent to my team was because it only costs 1 mana and it has Dodge Ability, I put it in the fifth position, especially since it has a chance to evade Sneak Monsters with Melee or Ranged Attacks.

Dodge Ability : Has a 25% higher chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.
Position 6: MYCELIC MORPHOID
Mycelic Morphoid is a Earth Monster that can attack the target with a Melee Attack and has the Thorns Ability from level 3. The reasons I added Mycelic Morphoid to my team was because it only costs 1 mana and it has Thorns Ability. I put it in the last position, especially since I thought the opposing team would have Sneak Monsters with Melee Attacks.

Thorns Ability : When hit with a Melee attack, does 2 Melee damage back to the attacker.

To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was also very good and the opposing team was quite powerful compared to my team. Especially if both Sneak Monsters on the enemy team get a chance to attack, I have little chance of winning this battle. That's why it's very important for monsters to have attack priority in battles, and for this they need to have high speed.
Round 1
Silvershield Assassin made the first attack in the battle, hitting Mycelic Morphoid and destroying it, but took back damage from Thorns and missed Chaos Agent. And it was Katrelba Gobson's turn to attack, and Katrelba Gobson put in a great performance and destroyed Silvershield Assassin and Stitch Leech in the first round, which was truly admirable. That's why I love Katrelba Gobson, it did a really great job. At the end of the first round, while 3 monsters from the opposing team were destroyed, only one monster from my team could be destroyed.
Round 2
At the beginning of the first round, Katrelba Gobson destroyed the last 2 remaining monsters on the opposing team, allowing my team to win this battle quite easily against a very powerful team.
The battle lasted only 2 rounds, although the opposing team was quite powerful compared to my team, my team won this battle quite easily, which showed that my strategy worked well in this battle. At the end of the battle, while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, 5 monsters on my team were still alive. To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was also good, but my strategy worked much better. In particular, it was very useful that I used Katrelba Gobson in this battle and increased its speed and attack power. That's why I attach great importance to speed and attack power in battles.
