In battles with the Weak Magic Ruleset, Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health, so using Magic Attack Monsters in such battles may not be advantageous, especially against Monsters with high armor.

In battles with the Weak Magic Ruleset, having high armor can provide a great advantage in certain battles, so I first of all take care to include Summoners and Protect Ability in my strategy, which gives extra armor to all friendly monsters. I would also like to say that whenever I have the opportunity, I add monsters with Repair Ability to my team without hesitation, because Repair Ability restores a third of max armor to the friendly unit whose armor has taken the most damage. Additionally, I take care to reduce the armor of all enemy monsters, thus eliminating or reducing their armor advantage. Therefore, if I have the chance to use Rust Ability in battle, I use it without hesitation, thus reducing the Armor of all enemy Units by 2, which makes it easier to destroy the enemies.

In addition to these, I would like to say that armor is not very useful against Shatter Ability and Pierce Ability. Because Monsters with Shatter Ability destroy their targets' armor when they hit them. And if the attack damage of Melee or Ranged attack monsters with Piercing Ability are in excess of their target's Armor, the remainder will damage their target's Health. That's why I attach importance to using both of these abilities if I have the opportunity in battles with the Weak Magic Ruleset.

Meanwhile, Rebellion, which players and investors have been eagerly awaiting, was released about four days ago and now Rebellion is live. You can take a look here for more information. Rebellion general sale has also started. If you do not want to miss bulk purchase opportunities and airdrops, you can check out the general sale page here.

I will share one of my most interesting battles with the Weak Magic Ruleset, I hope you like it.

Battle Ruleset

  • Counterspell: All Monsters have the Magic Reflect ability.

  • Aim True: Attacks always hit their target.

  • Weak Magic: Magic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health.

MY STRATEGY

Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the recent 5 battles of the opposing player, I saw that the opposing player had more poweful cards than my deck and I knew that this battle would be difficult for me. Considering the ruleset of the battle, I knew I would be fighting against a level 6 Summoner in this battle, so I needed a better strategy to win this battle. Also, in order to win this battle, I had to take some risks.

First of all, I chose Kelya Frendul as the Summoner because I thought +1 Armor and +1 Speed would give my team an advantage in this battle. Since I think there will be a powerful defense on the opposing team's front line in this battle, I will first aim to destroy the opposing team's back line and will use Monsters with Opportunity Ability to do this.

Since all monsters in this battle will have the Magic Reflect Ability, using Magic Attack Monsters is risky, but I had to take this risk to win this battle. I will add River Hellondale with Resurrect Ability and Inspire Ability and Venari Wavesmith with Protect Ability to the team. Thanks to the Protect Ability, all monsters in my team will have +2 armor. Thanks to the Inspire Ability, melee attack monsters would be able to attack their targets more powerfully.

In the first position I will put Diemonshark, which has 6 armor and 8 health. I will also use the Rust Ability to reduce the armor of all enemy monsters by -2. And I planned to destroy the opposing team's backline with Kulu Mastermind and Deeplurker, who have the Opportunity Ability. I also believed that the monsters' other abilities would add strength to my strategy, which I will talk about below. Frankly, I knew that this battle would be very difficult and I believed that my chances of winning this battle would increase with this strategy.

Summoner : KELYA FRENDUL

Kelya Frendul is a Water Summoner that gives +1 Armor and +1 Speed to all friendly monsters. I can say that I chose Kelya Frendul as the Summoner because I believed that all monsters in my team having extra +1 armor and +1 speed would benefit my team in this battle.

Position 1: DIEMONSHARK

Diemonshark is a Water Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Trample Ability and Enrage Ability at level 4. Diemonshark is a monster that can be very effective in battles with its abilities, so I added it to my team and put it in the first position since it has 6 armor and 8 health.

  • Trample Ability : When a Monster with Trample hits and kills its target with a Melee attack, it will perform another Melee attack on the next Monster on the enemy Team.

  • Enrage Ability : This unit has 50% bonus Melee attack and Speed when not at full health.

Position 2: NOA THE JUST

Noa the Just is a Water Monster with no attack power but have Rust Ability and Dodge Ability at level 3. The most important reason why I added Noa the Just to my team was that it has Rust Ability and Dodge Ability, and I also thought that having 5 armor and 6 speed would be advantageous in this battle. I put Noa the Just in the second position, and I will also put Kulu Mastermind in the third position so that Noa the Just has melee attack power in this battle.

  • Rust Ability : Reduces the Armor of all enemy Units by 2.

  • Dodge Ability : Has a 25% higher chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.

Position 3: KULU MASTERMIND

Kulu Mastermind is a Water Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Weapons Training Ability, Opportunity Ability and Shield Ability at level 2. My plan for this battle was to destroy the enemies with Opportunity Monsters, starting with the monsters with the least health. I put Kulu Mastermind in the third position so Noa the Just would have melee attack power.

  • Weapons Training Ability : Adjacent Units gain half this Unit's attack if they have no attack themselves.

  • Opportunity Ability : Units with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Unit with the lowest health.

  • Shield Ability : Reduces damage from Melee and Ranged attacks by 50%.

Position 4: VENARI WAVESMITH

Venari Wavesmith is a Water Monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has Protect Ability from level 1. The most important reason why I added Venari Wavesmith to my team in this battle was that it had the Protect Ability, so all monsters in my team would have +2 extra armor. I put Venari Wavesmith in the fourth position.

  • Protect Ability : All friendly Units gain +2 Armor.

Position 5: RIVER HELLONDALE

River Hellondale is a Water Monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has Resurrect Ability and Inspire Ability at level 2. Since I believed that River Hellondale's abilities would greatly benefit my team in this battle, I added it to the team and put River Hellondale in the fifth position to keep itaway from the first attacks of the enemy monsters.

  • Resurrect Ability : When a friendly Unit dies it is brought back to life with 1 Health. This ability can only trigger once per battle.

  • Inspire Ability : Gives all friendly Units +1 Melee attack.

Position 6: DEEPLURKER

Deeplurker is a Water Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Opportunity Ability. The main reasons I added Deeplurker to the team were that it had the Opportunity Ability, 4 melee attacks, and 4 speed, and I put it in the last position.

  • Opportunity Ability : Units with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Unit with the lowest health.

BATTLE COMMENTS

You can watch the entire battle from the video or from the Battle Link

To be honest, the opposing team was quite powerful and the opposing player's strategy was also quite good. If I had targeted the first position monster on the opposing team, I probably wouldn't have won this battle because there were 2 Monsters with Tank Heal Ability on the opposing team, and it wouldn't be easy to destroy the level 8 Sea Monster and the level 3 Djinn Oshannus. Fortunately, my team had Monsters with Opportunity Ability.

Round 1

In the first round, the Monsters on both teams effectively attacked their targets and none of them missed. But I can say that it was great for my team when Kulu Mastermind and Deeplurker destroyed Crustacean King with Tank Heal and Protect Abilities. That's why I love opportunity ability. At the end of the first round, while one monster from the opposing team was destroyed, no monster from my team could be destroyed.

Round 2

In the second round, Sea Monster was helpless against Diemonshark's and Kulu Mastermind's brutal attacks and was easily destroyed by the damage it took. I can also say that it was great that Deeplurker destroyed the Merdaali Guardian with the Tank Heal Ability. Moreover, it was admirable that in the first two rounds, the three monsters on the opposing team that could be most effective in this battle were destroyed. At the end of the second round, two more monsters from the opposing team were destroyed, while all the monsters on my team were still alive.

Round 3

Djinn Oshannus took the first position in the opposing team, it would not be easy to destroy it since it had Forcefield, Void and Phase Abilities. Since it had the Forcefield Ability, it would take only 1 damage from attacks with power 5 or higher, which was really annoying. In the third round, Kulu Mastermind destroyed Water Elemental, while Sand Worm destroyed Deeplurker. At the end of the third round, there were only 2 monsters left on the opposing team, while 5 monsters on my team were still alive.

Round 4

In the fourth round, Kulu Mastermind destroyed Sand Worm and only Djinn Oshannus remained on the opposing team. Although it was difficult to destroy the level 3 Djinn Oshannus, it had no chance of surviving in this battle for too long. Meanwhile, at the end of the fourth round, Djinn Oshannus only had 3 health left, which meant that it could be destroyed in the next round.

Round 5

Although it was quite difficult in the fifth round, my team managed to destroy Djinn Oshannus and won this tough battle. To be honest, I didn't expect my team to win this battle so easily.

Although the battle had 44 mana, it lasted only 5 rounds. Although the opposing team was more powerful, at the end of the battle, all the monsters in the opposing team were destroyed, while 5 monsters in my team were still alive, which showed that my strategy worked quite well in this battle. I can say that the abilities of all the monsters in my team were very useful in this battle, especially my choice of Monsters with Opportunity Ability turned the entire strategy of the opponent player upside down. In addition, the fact that the monsters in my team had more armor made it harder to destroy them, while the less armor of the monsters in the opponent team made them easier to destroy. But as I said, the abilities of all the monsters in my team were very useful in this battle, and my strategy worked quite well, so my team won this very difficult battle quite easily. I recommend you to watch this interesting and quite challenging battle from the Battle Link. I hope you will like it.
