Hello Splinterlands Lovers; I hope everything is going well in your life and I hope 2024 will be great for all of us.

The addition of Rebellion cards and new abilities to the Splinterlands undoubtedly increased the excitement. Having Rebellion cards provides a great advantage in battles, so I attach great importance to adding Rebellion cards to my deck and upgrading their levels.

By the way, Rebellion pack sales are continuing and click here to see the sales page, and you can check here to get more information related to Rebellion.

In this post, I will talk about the Ulundin Overseer card, which is the first card I added to my deck. I hope you like it.

ULUNDIN OVERSEER Stats

Ulundin Overseer is a Neutral Monster with Flank Ability that has no attack power. Although it may seem like a disadvantage that it has no attack power and costs 11 mana, I think it is a great advantage that it has the Flank Ability, high armor and high health. I can say that the Flank Ability is a ability that contributes greatly to my strategy. I will exemplify it with 3 battles below.

Ulundin Overseer has 1 Speed, 5 Armor and 12 Health at level 1, its armor or health increases as its level increases, and at level 10 it has 1 Speed, 10 Armor, 17 Health. It has truly massive armor and health.

Since Ulundin Overseer has the Flank Ability, at the beginning of the battle, if Ulundin Overseer is in the first position, the unit in the second position gains Reach. I can say that the Flank Ability has helped me a lot with some of my strategies, so I like this ability.

  • Flank Ability : At the beginning of battle, if this Unit is in the first position, the unit in the second position gains Reach.

There are 5 cards with the Flank Ability in Splinterlands. The fact that Ulundin Overseer is in the Neutral unit makes it special because I can have the chance to use this card in many battles (If rulesets don't prevent me from using it) since it is in the Neutral unit. By the way, I would like to say that I can't wait to add other cards with the Flank Ability to my deck.

Currently, my Ulundin Overseer card is at level 1 and I plan to upgrade it to level 5 very soon. If I can't get new copies of it from the Rebellion packs, I'll upgrade by buying it from the market. Currently, a copy of the Ulundin Overseer card starts at $0.22 on the market, while the gold foil one starts at $5.49. Actually, considering that I will use this card a lot, it might make more sense for me to have the gold foil one.

Let's briefly review the Ulundin Overseer card in 3 battles.

BATTLE 1

BATTLE 2

Battle Link

I can say that my purpose for using Ulundin Overseer in the above two battles is almost the same. I used the Ulundin Overseer card and put it in the first position so that monsters that can attack their targets strongly, such as GRUND and Drybone Barbarian, can attack from the second position. I both prevented these powerful monsters from being the primary target of the opponents and enabled them to attack their targets when they were in the second position. I can say that this has really become a strategy that has worked well for me in many battles. If I upgrade my Ulundin Overseer card to level 5, it will be one of my most preferred strategies in ranked battles. Additionally, using it with a Monster with the Weapons Training Ability can be useful in some battles. Ensuring that Ulundin Overseer has attack power with the Weapons Training Ability can be very useful in battle.

  • Weapons Training Ability : Adjacent units with no attack gain this unit's attack, up to a maximum of 3.

I would also like to say that since Ulundin Overseer's armor and health are quite high, I have the chance to include this card in many of my strategies. I wanted to share the battle below to give an example.

BATTLE 3

Battle Link

I didn't have any cards with the Reflection Shield Ability suitable for this battle, so I used Ulundin Overseer in the second position for this battle. Since Ulundin Overseer has 5 Armor and 12 Health, I believed that it would be very useful in this battle, both in the second position and in the first position, and it worked as I thought. Also, it did not surprise me that the opponent player also used the Ulundin Overseer card in this battle, because in such battles, having the Ulundin Overseer card and including it in the lineup can provide a great advantage. Frankly, having the Reklah summoner card was a greater advantage in such a battle, but my opponent could not use this advantage well. By the way, the Reklah summoner card is one of the cards I want to add to my deck.

My Additional Thoughts

Although Ulundin Overseer does not have attack power, I include this card in some of my strategies without hesitation because it has the Flank Ability, high armor and high health, and I can say that it helps my strategy in many battles. But since it costs 11 mana, I can say that it is not very advantageous to use this card in low-mana battles. I can say that I generally include it in my strategy in battles over 45 mana.

Frankly, I would love to have all the Rebellion cards because they are really powerful and having them in battles gives a great advantage. I'll be adding many of them to my deck in the next 3 months. All information related to Rebellion is in this post.
