Shield and Divine Shield are unaffected.

In battles with the Unprotected ruleset, Monsters do not have any armor and cannot gain armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs, in other words all armor is removed from units. However, Shield and Divine Shield are unaffected.

Monsters without armor can be destroyed more easily by Melee and Ranged Attackers, so I prefer Melee Attack Monsters and Ranged Attack Monsters in the Unprotected ruleset. In particular, Sneak Ability, Double Strike Ability and Opportunity Ability are my favorites in the Unprotected ruleset.

I will share one of my most interesting battles with the Unprotected ruleset, I hope you like it.

Battle Ruleset

Little League: Only Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles.
Unprotected: Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs.
Heavy Hitters: All Monsters have the Knock Out ability.

Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the recent 5 battles of the opposing player and considered the rulesets of the battle, it was difficult to predict what kind of strategy the opponent player would form a team with, so I had to take every possibility into consideration.

First of all, I chose Quix the Devious as the Summoner because I thought it would be advantageous to have higher speed in this battle and to be able to use the Dragon unit and the Life unit together.

In this battle, I chose monsters that have a chance to evade Melee and Ranged attacks. Against Magic Attack Monsters, I put Pelacor Conjurer with Magic Reflect Ability in the first position, and against monsters with Sneak Ability, I put Naga Assassin with Backfire Ability in last position. I believed that both of them would do a great job in this battle. And I added Monsters with Sneak Abilityand Opportunity Abilityto the team to destroy the opposing team.

I can say that I determined the team lineup by taking into account the abilities of the monsters.

Summoner : QUIX THE DEVIOUS

Quix the Devious reduces the speed of all enemy monsters by -1 and reduces the ranged attack of all enemy ranged attack monsters by -1. Frankly, I can say that I chose Quix the Devious as the summoner because I thought it would be advantageous to have higher speed in this battle, and also to be able to use dragon cards.

Position 1: PELACOR CONJURER

Pelacor Conjurer is a Life Monster that has no attack power and has Flying Ability and Magic Reflect Ability from level 4. The main reason I added Pelacor Conjurer to my team was because it has Magic Reflect Ability and Flying Ability, and I put it in the first position.

  • Flying Ability : Has a 25% bonus chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Units who do not have the Flying ability.

  • Magic Reflect Ability : When hit with Magic damage, does half the Magic damage (rounded up) back to the attacker.

Position 2: CHAOS AGENT

Chaos Agent is a Neutral Monster that has no attack power and has Dodge Ability from level 1. The reasons I added Chaos Agent to my team was because it only costs 1 mana and it has Dodge Ability, and I put it in the second position.

  • Dodge Ability : Has a 25% higher chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.

Position 3: KRA'AR XOC

Kra'ar Xoc is a Dragon that has no attack power and has Scavenger Ability from level 1. The reasons I added Kra'ar Xoc to my team was because it only costs 1 mana and it has Scavenger Ability, and I put it in the third position.

  • Scavenger Ability : Gains 1 max health each time any unit dies.

Position 4: DHAMPIR INFILTRATOR

Dhampir Infiltrator is a Dragon that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Sneak Ability and Double Strike Ability from level 1. The most important reason why I added Dhampir Infiltrator to the team was that it has Sneak Ability and Double Strike Ability. Since I believe that Dhampir Infiltrator will be of great help to my team in destroying the opposing team in this battle, I added it to my team and put it in the fourth position.

  • Sneak Ability : Targets the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit.

  • Double Strike Ability : This unit attacks twice each round.

Position 5: CELESTIAL HARPY

Celestial Harpy is a Life Monster that can attack the target with Melee Attacks and has Flying Ability and Opportunity Ability from level 1. The most important reason why I added Celestial Harpy to the team was that it has Flying Ability and Opportunity Ability. In this battle, I believed that Celestial Harpy, along with Dhampir Infiltrator, would help the team in destroying the opposing team. And I put Celestial Harpy in the fifth position.

  • Flying Ability : Has a 25% bonus chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Units who do not have the Flying ability.

  • Opportunity Ability : Units with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Unit with the lowest health.

Position 6: CELESTIAL HARPY

Naga Assassin is a Dragon that can attack the target with a Range Attack and has Backfire Ability at level 4. The most important reason why I added Naga Assassin to my team was that it has 5 speed and Backfire Ability. I put it in the last position because I believe it will be very effective, especially against Monsters with the Sneak Ability.

  • Backfire Ability : If an enemy misses this Unit with an attack, the attacker takes 2 Melee damage.

BATTLE COMMENTS

You can watch the entire battle from the video or from the Battle Link

Round 1

In the first round, my team was incredibly effective and caused the enemies to take serious damage. It was especially admirable that Naga Assassin avoided Uraeus' attack and Uraeus took 2 Melee damage, thus destroying Uraeus. Additionally, Dhampir Infiltrator and Celestial Harpy's attacks were very impressive. Dhampir Infiltrator destroyed 2 enemies, while Celestial Harpy caused Pelacor Bandit to take 2 damage.

Although it was only the first round, my team almost destroyed the opponent team, and at the end of the first round, while 4 monsters from the opponent team were destroyed, no monster from my team was destroyed.

Round 2

In the second round, there were only 2 monsters left on the opposing team, while all the monsters on my team were still alive. And it wasn't that hard to destroy them. It was admirable that Naga Assassin avoided Pelacor Bandit's attack, and was destroyed as Pelacor Bandit missed. And Xenith Monk was unable to withstand the Dhampir Infiltrator's brutal attacks and was destroyed as well.

It was noteworthy that although the battle cost 16 mana, it lasted only 2 rounds. At the end of the battle, while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, all the monsters on my team were still alive. To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was also good, but my strategy worked much better. Especially the fact that all the monsters in my team had higher speed was very useful in this battle, and I used the Backfire Ability and Double Strike Ability helped a lot in this battle, and as a result, my team won this battle quite easily. Of course, I can say that reviewing the recent 5 battles of the opponent player and forming a team according to the rulesets of the battle is very effective in this, so before I start determining my strategy, I attach great importance to reviewing the recent battles of my opponents and taking the rulesets of the battle into consideration. I recommend you to watch this very interesting and challenging battle from the Battle Link. I hope you will like it.
