Hi guys,
Welcome to my blog. Five days of not vlogging feels like a lifetime to me now lol. This has not been my first time being inactive but this time around it felt pretty different. Anyways, this is an entry to the weekly splinterlands social media challenge.
Unlike my previous entries, today I’ll be taking a different direction to this type of post. For my previous social media entries, I usually write about my battles which have been the norm for me whenever we don’t have a theme. This time around I’ve been playing way fewer games in my main account and putting in more of the efforts in the alt account cause it has stronger cards and more sps so the rewards there are much better than the one I get on my main account.
Today I’d like to write about one of my favourite cards. Because of this card, I find myself usually playing with the fire cards because of this card. Even though it looks like a normal card its use cases are spectacular and when used with the right cards you have the battle as easy as ever.

This card is card the forgotten one. First of all, it’s such a weird name for such a great card lol. According to the splinter lore, it is a weapon forged for war a war lost to memory or myth. So according to this, I’d understand why they decided to name it the forgotten one.
I am fortunate to have the level six(6) of this card which so happens to be the max level of this card. Being at level six(6) or max level means that it has certain abilities which a level one of this card wouldn’t have. To put this into better context, a level one of the forgotten one has 4 melee, 2 speed, 4 shield and 8 health. It has a mere 100 power and immunity ability.
Even a level one of this card is good considering how much the level 6 beats it. Being at level 5 means that it has a power of 4830 which is 48 times better than level one. The level 6 of this card has the following abilities and stats.
With a mana of 9, you might need to use this when you have a lot of battle mana at play.
It has a melee attack of 6 which makes it suitable for a lot of great battles. With a melee of 6 not a lot of cards can withstand its one-time hit. It also has a speed of 2 which I am not really impressed with considering that a level one of this card has 2 speed as well. Knowing spl well I wasn’t expecting it to have better speed because that would make the card unbeatable in battle.
It has a shield of 5 to make it for its low speed. It also has a health of 10 which means it will last you more than 2 rounds of battle considering your card doesn’t get hit with a shatter effect.
The immunity ability means that this card is immune to negative status effects either from the game rules or the opponent cards. It’s sullied and immune to the toxic effect and also the status effect which reduces your card's speed or health or its melee attack.
The retaliate ability of this card is what makes me love it more. The retaliate ability makes it stand out from a lot of cards on spl. What this does is that when your card is hit with a melee attack it has a 50 percent chance of attacking back. Now, what I like about this ability is that even in death it still has a chance of retaliating and this helps a great deal. Imagine that one very strong card in your opponent's lineup kills your forgotten one but just after killing it your card retaliates and kills it as well. Nice it’s it?

With a piercing ability, you’re sure to start the game on a good note. The piercing ability means if this card attacks a card with a shield, the attack can cut through the shield and use the remaining to get to the health of the opponent’s card if the melee attack of my card is more than the opponent’s shield. Eg; if I attack a card with my melee of 6 and that card has 4 health what this means is that my card will clear its shield and also reduce my opponent’s card health by 2.
I usually play this card with a set of very good melee cards which have the opportunity ability and also the reachability.
After my card makes the damage and clears the shield then those other melee cards come in and finish the job. With Tarsa as my preferred summoner for this card, it means my melee attack is always at a 7 making it even more dangerous.
For me, this is one of my favourite cards. I know I’ve said a couple of times that grum is my favourite in the fire elements but having a card with such low speed turns me away from choosing it for battle.
A level 6 of this card costs 5.43 dollars now. Who knows? It could go down in price looking at the decline in prices these days but I still think getting it again at this price of a good deal as well.
Even though they call it the forgotten one, you can never forget about this card once you decide to go with the fire element.
