Hi guys,
Welcome to my blog for this week’s entry into the splinterlands battle mage secrets contest. Every week we have a different rule set to look at. This time round we have been given a different type of Ruleset to look at and this is how I went about it.
So I have successfully gotten into diamond III just when the season is about to end. First of all, I remember I said the target for this season was to get into diamond in the modern league but then it was just an idea that popped up in my head, I was still struggling to stay in Gold II when I made that statement and boy it hasn’t been easy getting out of gold.
Now I face a different type of challenge in the diamond league as well. Since we have less than a day to the end of the season I know I can’t get out of diamond III but then for next season, I know I’d be looking at getting out of diamond III.
So the Ruleset for this week is reverse speed. It’s funny how I hated this reverse Ruleset when I just started playing spl. The thing is, I didn’t understand it that much and each time I was given reverse speed all I did was go with my normal lineup with cards that had so much speed and then I ended up getting a beating in each of those battles.
The thing with the reverse speed Ruleset is that you are supposed to go in for cards that have very low speed; if you have cards with a speed of one go for them. These cards have a higher chance of evading attacks and also they are the first to attack. What I also advise is that, even though they have a high chance of evading attacks you still need to have cards with a lot of health.
So for this one, I went with the immortalis summoner. This summoner is an earth summoner that has 6 mana. It subtracts the health of enemy cards, grants your cards the void magic ability and gives you the shatter ability.
My first position card was mycelic morphoid. Second card being terraceous grunt, next was goblin psychic, next being djinn biljika, last card being queen mycelia.
Let’s rumble.
I was fortunate cause my opponent didn’t either read the Ruleset or he didn’t have cards of low speed. He brought cards with an average of 3 speed. They were powerful cards but in this type of Ruleset, they were not gonna work.
Round one was a normal routine of buffs and debuffs. I wished he had cards that reduced my first position’s speed but he didn’t. In the first round, it was a battle of low speed. I attacked first with all my might leaving his first position card with just one health. It didn’t take long before I vanquished it in round 2.
Round 2 was an easy one for me as well as his second position card which had just come into first position had low speed. It didn’t take a lot of hits and it was gone as well.
Next off was another card with low health which I again vanquished after it did make one successful attack. It turned into a game of me just attacking his cards and killing them pretty easily.
At the end of the day, I think my opponent made it more easier for me cause he didn’t follow the rules of the game thus he was punished. He might have been anticipating that I’d bring similar cards and he was wrong.
