Hi guys,
Welcome to my blog for another exciting week of splinterlands content. This is an entry to the social media contest. It’s been a long since I wrote about one of my favourite battles for my social media entry. This week, I’ll be writing about a battle for my social media entry.
So in case you haven’t noticed, these days I hardly play a single game on my main account. This is because on my main account the cards I have there are mostly for wild, with the wild pass coming into play I don’t see a reason to invest in playing in wild when I might not get the money back immediately. So instead I am playing modern on my alt account where I have a lot of good modern cards.
Last season I managed to finish in gold II or so so this season I was dropped to silver II. Ever since then, I’ve been trying hard to get back into gold and then try my best to get into diamond before this season ends.
The two rulesets for this game were
Even Stevens-Only monsters with even mana cost may be used in battle
Fab four to four units can be used in battle
The first Ruleset is self-explanatory but then I think the second might confuse a few people. What the Fab Four ruleset means is that in this type of game, you are only allowed to use 4 or fewer monsters for battle, unlike in a normal game where you can choose up to 6 monsters for battle.

This is how I lined up for this battle.
My summoner of choice was Possibulus the Wise. With this summoner, you get to use water cards. It’s a 6 mana summoner which grants your cards the reach ability, and trample ability and also gives your cards +2 health each.
The first card was diemonshark. An 8 mana card with 4 melee attacks, 4 speed, 10 health and 6 shields. It has the retaliate ability and also the rage ability.
The second card was Arkemis the Bear. A 12 mana card with 4 melee attack, 4 speed and 12 health. It has the halving ability, forcefield ability and rage ability as well.
Next was djinn oshanus. An 8 mana card with 3 magic attack, 5 speed and 11 health. It has the void magic ability, phase ability and also forcefield ability.
The last card of choice was sea stalker, an 8 mana card with 5 range attack, 3 speed and 7 health. It has the snipe ability, camouflage ability, cleanse ability, and amplify ability.
Oh, and the battle mana was 45 which gave me the liberty to choose all these big mana cards for battle.
Let’s rumble.
Round one was the usual. Buffs and debuffs and then a few rounds of useless attacks. I did make progress as my halving card was able to halve my opponent’s first card’s attack successfully.

Round 2 was a bit of a surprise to me since I thought I was in control of the game with the way round one ended. My diemonshark was killed easily in this second round and then I started to panic. Well then came my bear and killed my opponent’s first position card.
With the trample abilities, I was able to clear my opponent’s second card’s shield and then also halve its attack. It didn’t take a lot for me to kill it as my range and oshanus made sure to reduce its health drastically setting up a pretty nice trample for my bear.

It killed its second position card( now in first) and proceeded to kill his next card with ease. It was now left with one of his cards which happens to be a range card.
With the last punch of the match, I finished it off easily. It was 3 rounds of mightily strengthen although it didn’t look like I was gonna win. I enjoyed this one.
