Hi guys,
Welcome to my blog. So the season has ended and we are in a new season now. Last 2 seasons my rewards were nothing to write home about and I remember how bitterly I complained and how much I said I need to play more to better it.
Well last season was a bit better as I started the season very strongly even though I lost momentum in the dying minutes of the season. I was still able to make about 47 chests though which was way more than what I made last 2 seasons.
This is an entry to the splinterlands social media challenge. This week I’d be writing about a battle.
Let’s get into it.
The Ruleset for this battle was Noxious Fumes.

For a battle such as this you need to go in with cards with a lot of health. When it happens that the mana for the game is as low as 14 then you won’t have the chance to go with a lot of cards but you need to take advantage and field in cards with much health as possible and also cards that heal by themselves might be a blessing in battle.
Since I’ve decided to go back to play modern I didn’t have the chance to use my favorite earth cards so I had to go to death element where I recently found out I have pretty good cards.

With this game I used the Helios Matriarch summoner.
A summoner that adds +1 speed to your cards and also allows you to use additional gladiator card in battle.
I went in for this summoner for one reason which is the 1 speed addition it grants to my cards.
My line up was a bit of a mess; I say this because I was only concentrated on putting a first card who was very strong and with that I ended up eating all the mana up and could only put in a second card which has 0 mana and and is a melee card with no opportunity so it was just there.
Let’s rumble.
With the addition of speed to my monsters I attacked first. With my djinn chwala it was na easy kill against my opponents first card since it had very low health.

Up came his second position card which had pretty good stats. The only thing that scared me about that card was that it had shield so killing it would have been difficult.
But when it come into first position it attacked djinn and had the thorns effect affect it so it’s shield got reduced to 1. Djinn attacked back and cleared its shield leaving its health bear now.
With the poisonous effect my second card was killed and now I was left with just djinn which still had great health.

His first card healed and attacked djinn again but with djinn’s shield it was still standing strong.
Another poisonous effect came in and killed my opponents healer leaving only his one card available for battle.
Djinn finished it off with its last attack of the game and that was it.

For me the difference maker was the addition of speed to my opponent card. Attacking first has its advantages and boy did it help me.
