Hi guys,
Welcome to my blog for another fun entry into the splinterlands social media challenge. Woah, just 2 non entries into the spl challenge and it feels like I’ve been off for a year.
This week I’ll be writing about one of my battles as usual. In case you didn’t know I am mostly battling with my alt account. This is because the type of cards I have in there are high level cards, I have more sps there which earns me more sps and win per glint. With the change of most things on spl it’s even hard being in silver with high level cards.
For now I am in gold II trying all that I can to get to diamond before this season ends. There will be a lot of advantages to getting in diamond, this is because I know that the sps I’ll get per win will be much much better than what I am getting in gold.
So let’s get into it.
The Ruleset for this battle are as follows
Broken arrows-Ranged attack monsters may not be used in battles
Corrosive fog-All units take 1 corrosive damage each round
Blood and sunder-All units gain corrosive ward.
For this battle I used a summoner I hardly use so I’d be much interested in writing about it. The immortalis summoner which is an earth summoner with just 4 mana. It’s a summoner that grants the void ability, shatter ability and then reduces the health of all other enemy monsters by 1.
So the card I put in the first position was pelacor mercenary, a melee card with 7 mana, 3 melee attack and 4 speed. It has 11 health and 1 shield. Its abilities are flying ability, healing ability and retaliate ability.
Second card position was mycelic slipspawn, a magic card with 9 mana, 3 magic attack and 3 speed. It has 12 health and no shield. It has the taunt ability, forcefield ability, and slow ability.
Third card was regal peryton, a card with 5 mana, 3 magic attack, 7 speed and 8 health. It has the flying ability as well.
Next card in line was magi of chaos, a card that is 6 mana, has 4 magic attack ,2 speed and 7 health. It has the oppress ability.
Next card in line was venari spellsmith, a card with 4 mana, 2 magic attack and 3 speed. It has 4 health. It has the dispel ability, amplify ability and redemption ability.
Last card was uraeus, a melee card which looks small but very powerful. It is 3 mana, it has 3 melee attack, 4 speed, 4 health and one speed. It has the opportunity ability and then the poison ability which makes it real dangerous.
Let’s rumble.
I went with my summoner of choice cause I though my opponent was gonna pull up a trick of trick of using cards that had a lot of shield but then I was wrong. The other reason was that he’d use magic cards and I was right on that part. He used a lot of magic cards which made my void magic ability part pretty useful.

With the mycelic slipspawn taking all of the hits in battle in the first round I taught it was gonna die but I was wrong. With the void magic in play it was hard for it to die off. My opponent also had the slipspawn but u was able to kill it in round one.
Round 2 was a similar thing for my slipspawn as it was targeted in all attacks. I managed to kill off his grund which was a good one because that grund attacks twice each round and it also has the trample ability.

It didn’t take long before my slipspawn was killed in battle. Round 3 was a pretty quick round with me again in control and making sure I killed one his cards. It turns into a battle where a killed one of cards in each round.

But in round 5 I killed 2 of his cards instead of the regular one. This was how I won the battle.

To me we had very similar cards but the summoner pick made the difference in these battle. The void magic played a big role in how things turned out for me.
