Hi guys,

Welcome to my blog for another entry into the splinterlands social media challenge. Last week I started episode one of trying to explain some of the rulesets that I have encountered during my battles. But before I dive in let me talk a little bit about last season.

Ok, so for a while now I’ve been talking about my 5k sps staked goal coming from playing battles. For better understanding I’ve had some of my sps stake from powering up sps myself and also a bit of help from other generous people.

Before I decided I wanted to get to 5k I had less than 1.3k staked sps and that was in June. So fast forward I am very close to 5k and hopefully I can get to that number when I claim my sps when the season ends in 13 days time. I have about 4899 staked sps now meaning with a little over 100 I’ll make it to 5k.

Last season I made over 70k glint frown my EOS rewards and I put that into good use. So what I am doing now is I am trying to get a max deck from the rebellion reward cards as fast as possible so I am pouring everything into that for now. For now most of the reward cards that I own are mostly at level 5 which means I have to get more cards to get to level 8 for most of them you be maxed out. The thing is I can indeed use some of them in battle but because I have most of my summoners in max level I’d have better use for max cards with all its maximum abilities.

So let’s get into it.

Just like last week today I’d be talking about 3 rulesets. There are the

Rise of the commons

with the rise of the commons it means you are only allowed to use certain cards in this game. You only use common and rare cards as the name suggests. What this does is that it limits you to certain elements and also summoners. You are not allowed to use neutral elements as that is common with all the elements and then you are not also allowed to use legendary cards in some cases. I for one would not want to play with this type of Ruleset cause it can be hard deciding on that type of summoner and element you want to use.

Since you can use rare cards as well you don’t know what surprise card your opponent can pull on you as well.

Melee Mayhem

What this means is that your melee cards can attack any position. You are not restricted by the opportunity or reach abilities. All melee cards gave equal chance of attacking regardless of their position and abilities according to their speed.

When you see this Ruleset it’s mostly advisable to try to counter your opponent by bringing in cards that will reduce his melee attack abilities. What I mean by this is that most people have very good melee cards so they won’t miss out on using melee cards just like how you won’t want to miss out on meleee cards as well. You can be a step ahead of your opponent by putting in demoralise cards or reduce his melee attack.

You can also counter this by fielding card that have thorns ability. Since they meleee cards they’ll attack and get thorns effect in return.

You should also put in cards with a lot of shield as well. If you’re lucky your opponent will come with only melee cards as well.

Equaliser

the equaliser ruleset is a straight forward Ruleset. What this does is that it gives all cards the highest health which is brought by a care in battle. What I mean is that if the highest health it any card is 11 in battle it means all the cards start the battle with 11 health as well.

With this type of Ruleset you’d be very fortunate as you can get cards with little to no matter if your game mana is small as well.

Go in for cards with immense speed and little mana and you won’t regret it.

This is a display of one of my battles with this 3 Rulesets in play. My opponent outsmarted me but you can learn a lot from this as well.
