The first day I was introduced to the hive platform will forever remain a remarkable day in my life. A big thanks goes to none other than this wonderful friend of mine @jjmusa2004. This bro from another mom took me through all the necessary steps and has always been of help with guidelines and other aspects of Hive. Beyond being grateful to my friend, I am glad Hive is worth the hype. No need to spell out my favorite social platform, but in case you want to hear it from the horse’s mouth, it’s Hive! To digress a bit, would you be pleased if someone called you a horse? I can’t count the number of times I have heard people use the phrase “hear it from the horse’s mouth.” I hope that got you thinking. So, why is Hive my favorite social platform?
I have loved writing from a tender age, and I am one of the top and early poets on PoetrySoup, Poem Hunt, and other platforms like that. I love appreciating nature, people, sharing my experience, and “thinking 'without' the box” (if there’s anything like that). My passion for writing has made me search for several platforms to express my gift, and I can confidently say that Hive is the best of them all. As a guy endowed by God with more than a gift, I have found expression for my talent in a few spheres. But none of these talents excuse writing. For all social media platforms, even something as simple as a caption can make your content or talent stand out! The excellent comments and support on Hive are fascinating.
I can’t do without Hive on a daily basis. Either to post, comment, or just view posts by fellow writers. I can tell you that this is not the case for other sites. I won’t want to mention names, but there are sites on which I’ve not shared any posts for months. There is rarely a week I don’t post on Hive. I would have said a day, but sometimes I get busy and won’t be able to make posts as planned. However, I just discovered a way out, which is the option of scheduling posts ahead. For example, I can write four posts and schedule them to be posted on a daily basis.
There are several times I have been wowed at how some wonderful topics were coined on Hive. At first, it looks like I can’t write about them, but by the time I’m done writing, I ask if I am the writer. Hive has brought out the best in me, especially with the strict rule on the need for original content! Many social media sites allow and embrace copy and paste, which makes for the display of lots of harmful, controversial, and unverified content. I think Hive deserves to be more relevant and praised in the media world than it currently is. There is control, checks, and balances that keep everyone in order, and I like that! I have six social media accounts, and I can confidently say that Hive tops them all! Hive forever, Hive for life!
