There are some situations that I put myself in the shoes of women and I am like man, you guys are really trying.
I remember doing a POS job in my second year in the university. The boss I worked for built the shop in such a way that there was a corner built for shawarma and noddles business, he put a girl there to manage that aspect. So basically, me and the girl were in the shop. In a day I can go like 2-3 times to a bush opposite our shop to go ease myself. It was until after some time I noticed that this girl never left the shop for once to go ease herself. And it was not like she didn’t eat or drink anything during the day. Sometimes she did even eat and drink more than me but yet I never saw her step out of the shop saying she wanted to go ease herself.
One day I had to ask her, “how come you never go to ease yourself? Is it that you don’t feel pressed during the day or something?”She replied that she does, but she holds it. At first I didn’t quite understand why she preferred to hold it in, but later I got it. That was when I realized how privileged I was as a guy to be able to find any place nearby to urinate, but in the case of a lady it’s not quite the same.
I couldn’t even imagine holding my urine for half the time she did while we were at shop during the day. What marveled me is that she told me that she had gotten used to it. That level of endurance is really quite the thing.
Another area I acknowledge them to be really trying at is during heat seasons. Why it came to my mind is because we are currently experiencing one. Despite the intense heat from the sun they still try to put on the appropriate clothing stepping out; and I mean clothings which are not revealing. But for we guys, we don’t mind putting on just plain tank tops and moving about so that some air can touch our bodies.
Initially, when I saw some females put on sleeveless clothes that are kind of transparent and don’t put on any inner wear I automatically label them as indecent. But when I started to put myself in their shoes I began to actually sympathize with them.
Not that I am encouraging that they should all dress like that and walk on the street. I know that there are actually some who dress like that with a negative motive in heart. But I know that for some it’s because of the discomfort that comes with the weather that makes them have to dress like that. And yet, there are still some ladies that cope with the discomfort despite how challenging it can be.
So to all the ladies out there, I must say you guys are really trying. This is just a few out of many more things you guys have to go through by reason of being females. Please, feel free to share other day to day challenges I forgot to mention down in the comments. Thanks for your time.
