Greetings!

Motherhood is a very crucial thing in the life of an individual. The influence of a mother on her can never be underestimated. The cord that bind a mother to her children is a very strong one that can never be broken. Like the popular song that says,
"Who sat and watch my infant head
While sleeping on my cradle bed
And tears of sweet affection shed?
My Mother."
This lyrics above talks so much about the degree of love a mother has towards her children. So, also, it talks about the origin of the love cord that exist between both. To me and most of the people, most of the children love their mum compared to their dad. So, like the popular saying in my language, " mother is gold" so, as a result of this, the gold which is mother must be cherished.
So many people will be wondering where emotion and feelings come in from what I have been saying. Well, some years back, I lost my mum, my gold and the journey since then was not a smooth one, but a journey full of pains and frustration. Loosing my mum was unexpected as I would not have thought she would be leaving at that early stage of her life. But it happened and it was so sudden. Then, I was crying and couldn't imagine the future that lies before me. But while I was crying, a woman called me aside and asked me to stop crying, saying my crying is not for today, but that in the nearest future, when I have things to celebrate, that, that's when I would realize what has befell me. The woman then gave me her own experience of what happened to her when she got wedded, she said she's lost her mum at her tender age. She said on her wedding day, she said when she looked around and couldn't see her mum, she said she was crying and couldn't hold it. So I thought she was lying, but, lo and behold, she was only saying the truth.

So, fast forward, after all I av passed through, I picked my introduction date. So, prior to the day, I was happy and planning towards the day. But when the day came, with all my planning without the help of anyone, I went to my in-laws house and in getting there, when the program commenced and I realized that there's nobody to be called my mum, tears began to roll down my cheek and I was not happy at all. I felt so bad, but what can I do. So, i took it as my own fate and felt sorry for myself. People around me were consoling me. But they could not see what i was seeing. So, on that particular day, we picked a date and the date was 23rd of December, 2024.
So, after the introduction, the preparation for the wedding started in earnest and had it been my mum.was alive, I would have enjoyed the preparation, but the reverse was the case, I was the one getting everything on the list without the assistance of anyone. I spent my time, money and energy to do all myself. It's so stressful. But thank God I could do it myself. I got everything on the list myself and packed it.

On the the D day, I mean on the wedding day, and as the program commenced, people gathered to celebrate me and my soon to be wife. But when I look back to where the parents are to sit and instead of seeing my biological mum on the sit, I saw her seat being occupied by my step mother. Hmmm! I could not control my urge to crying, immediately, I busted into tear and people were it's a cry of Joy. Yes, it might be a cry of joy, but notwithstanding, it's also, an emotional cry, thinking of what this woman has passed through for me brought about the cry. I couldn't curtail it and that was when I now remembered what the woman at my mum funeral told me. It's indeed a great day for me, but the day was not complete just because of death that snatched my mum away from me.

I love my mum and her memory still lives on in my heart. So. The day was so emotional to me. But thank God, I now have a wife that is filling the vacuum being left behind by my mum. Although, their role might be different and that's why I still feel her absence and role in my life. Her motherly role can't be filled by anybody.
whenever I'm confused and don't know what to do, I used to be like, let me put a call through her life, thinking she's still alive, but later, I would realize that she's no more and this used to pain me to my marrow. Even, my wife would have enjoyed her had she been she's alive. I also missed the daughter-in-law and mother-in-law relationship that would have exist between both, but that never exist. I miss my mum and always feel emotional whenever I remember her.
Thanks for reading.
