I actually received two types of gifts this year, which came at the right time when I needed them. The first was a cash gift from my dad; he transferred 50 thousand Nigerian naira to me. I was actually happy throughout that week. The next gift was also from my dad—it was a laptop. It has been a while since I was robbed of my laptop and phone, so to cheer me up, he got me a laptop. These two gifts, so far, are the best this year. I hope more might come since the year has not ended.
WHY THE GIFT ARE SPECIAL
These two gifts are considered special to me. It's not that I haven't received cash gifts before, but this one came when I needed cash to pay for my tuition fee, and I was close to the deadline. That moment relieved me from a lot of stress and thinking.
The laptop is special to me because I just quit my job to move into tech and become a full-time Hive. It’s not easy writing with the phone; sometimes I get distracted. With the laptop, I can stay focused until I finish what I’m doing before checking my phone. So, both gifts are very special to me.
