Which one you prefer : online or offline ?
Black Friday Sale has been a craze for shopping in recent times, with stores allowing discounts specifically during this period, that is usually not available. And since its Winter season, when most of our celebrations start, we take advantage of these offers. This time the kid advised, we shop online to save time, as he does not have much bandwidth to go to a store, due to preparation for exam. I am not a big fan of online shopping, but few purchases earlier have been good experience so I thought, let's listen to his suggestion.
We ordered few items from the lifestylestores.com, which included a hoodie for me.
I usually go for known brands with reasonable price, even though the discount is not very big. However, as soon as it reached today, it appeared the fit is not same as promised. Every product has a size guide, which we strictly follow to figure out which size would fit for us. But in reality, it appeared to be smaller than promised. Even though the color seemed attractive on their site, in reality, it's not the exact same. You can compare the online image (above) vs the real image (below).
Also the quality did not meet my expectation, even though the brand (FAHRENHEIT) is a reputed brand from Bangalore. The downside of online is that, you have to rely on the size guide and try it after it's delivered, and return within the fixed time frame ( 7 days in this case). So out of three products, two are retained and this hoodie is being returned. They do provide an exchange scheme, but since I did not like the quality, I am returning it.
tatacliq.com is another site, that we often purchase from, because they have a very large collection of branded products. This shirt seemed nice, and was having the last piece so we ordered, but see what came.
Don't know what kind of camera they use to take photos of these products, but the color was not the same. But the quality is good, and I liked the color, so I am going to keep it - this will be my zero night attire. I have ordered Colorplus shirts earlier from the same site, and now I feel, the brand fulfills the promise on quality and size. The look may be a little different, but almost similar.
I also ordered this one for me, but they delivered a complete different product, even wrong sleeve.
The kid has ordered this one for him, for a funky and teen aged look :) Let's see what comes in the package. Both these are from Jack & Jones brand, which we are trying for the first time.
For Trousers, I prefer to go offline to a store, because now a days there are so many fits (Slim, Super slim, Regular slim and there are so many...Waist rise is another factor - high, low, medium) that it's literally very difficult to pick up a suitable one from online. Also alteration is another factor, which is free and easy offline. So we walked into the lifestyle store at the last minute of the Black Friday sale, and after looking into several brands, I counted on Louis Philippe, my preferred brand. They had a store discount as well as brand discount for Black Friday, on purchases above 8k, so we utilized both. Alternation is free and I have not got a chance to go back and collect them.
Our boy is always keen for saving and quickly looked into online options of same pants with discounts, but it seems, these fresh stocks sells in discount online only after few months. However, one thing is for sure, quality is guaranteed on the Louis Philippe brand - that's why its my favorite, even though the price is on little higher side. Some people prefer to buy frequently and go for lesser price, but I prefer to buy branded ones and use them for long periods - the look remains same, if you maintain proper washing instructions - absolutely no color fed.
The store was closed by the time we got out at 10 pm, and kids did not want to wait to come home for dinner, so we decided to go for delicious Burger King. Both the shirt and pant I wear are from Louis Philippe brand, bought several years back but the look has remained same.
