I'm 3 weeks in and I'm just now realizing how hard it is to talk about a full album consecutively.
There are a lot of songs I listen to on a daily basis, so it is quite easy for me to find 3 songs in 7 days to talk about on Tuesday.
Especially this Tuesday where before 4pm I've had a lot of experiences that can be linked to so many songs.
Regardless, one thing that I am is that when I start something, I like to keep to it so here I am with Inpatient 3.

The last 6 songs have been a mixture of rap, vocals and beautiful themes.
In these next 3 songs, we are met with Ren's natural rap flow; silly, bizarre and just wonderful.

- Me and My Monster ๐ŸงŒ

This song is a little dark as it talks about a bottled up darkness in their heart that feels like a monster out of the cage.
One can easily think of it as something like their vices or internal faults which are being told to be released.
The verses detail feeling like a freak of nature that has been fighting to feign normalcy for so long, well it's time to let go.

- Smoking Gun ๐Ÿ”ซ

Now this one is crazy๐Ÿ˜‚
Probably one of the best rap story telling songs of this year in its bizarreness and in its vivid lyrics.
It talks about the effects of drug violence, toxic relationships and broken dysfunctional families in a playful and creative way.
It's not something I'd usually listen too and it is very explicit, yet that's what makes it work ๐Ÿ˜‚.
The instruments seem to show this theme too, it's something I've noticed in this album, the subtle changes and little hints the instruments seem to add to the songs and when mixed with the lyrics, they bring such a vibe and feeling that just moves you.

- Tarantula ๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ

This is probably the most dark song on the album, the heavy bass and sad vocals help in a way too.
It's a rap track about one's mental health struggles and the following psychological confinement.
The spider metaphor is very witty because the Tarantula is usually portrayed as a very venomous and predatory insect. Yet in this song it is portrayed as a state of mind.
This is also one where the lyrical intensity is very high with both Ren and Webby going bar for bar.

Well there's that, I've been sounding like a broken record but it is no exaggeration when I say that this is a beautiful album.

There are just 2 issues left so by the 3rd week of September, I should be done with the Inpatient series.
I'm quite stoked for Inpatient 4.

What do you say @ablaze and my other readers...
