Is Intrepid Bakers a good place a coffee break

Back with another coffee shop review. You know I go around trying as many coffee shops as I can and today's victim was Intrepid Bakers.

This is another (kind of) local coffee shop for me here in London but I have not visited before, because there are a few in that area and this one never caught my eye. And when there are a lot of choices, you need to stand out in some way, otherwise I will probably end up picking a different place.

They did have great wi fi and the place looked nice. Cool decoration, warm and welcoming. As you can see people feel comfortable staying for a while, maybe even getting some work done.

Nice coffee machine, with the coffee waiting for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. And at a first sigh everything felt and looked great.

The decoration of the place was very simple but the open space with these simple graphics complemented each other. It is always great to look around for a while to see what's happening in the place.

They have an open kitchen so you can see they baking all the fresh goods that look and smell great. I also forgot to photograph when entering the shop and forgot to capture them when I was leaving. So you will have to take my word for it. Everything looked great and looked delicious.

But I think by looking at the place and it's vibe you also can imagine how awesome and amazing their baked goods might be.

I went a little wild with the photos on this place today and I apologise for it. But I wanted to give you a good perspective of the place and I wanted to try and feel the atmosphere as if you were there with me having a coffee.

The coffee is the really important part that I want to talk to you all. Because as you know this is a coffee shop review, and leaving a review of a coffee shop without trying the coffee wouldn't be a fair review.

And sadly, this is one of those times when I don't have good news. Although the coffee looks great, it tastes awful. And I mean it, it was terrible.

One thing I am sure, I will never stop at Intrepid Bakers to drink coffee. It pains me to say this, because everything else was very nice. In cases when everything is great but the coffee not, it always make it hard for me to leave a not so good review. But I have to be honest.

On another positive note once again. Here's something else good, a toilet for the men, the women and everyone in between. We love equality for everyone.

Final thoughts, great place with a nice atmosphere and good service, the baked good looked great and delicious but the coffee was really horrible. Will never stop by for coffee never again but who know a juice or a cake!
