It's a bit late but I want to share my three songs for three tune Tuesday. If you weren't able to guess the band I wanted to share today is Train. Train is a very popular band from my childhood and I'm sure most 90s kids would know them as well as their parents.

I'm introducing their most popular song first. This song went viral and was overplayed on the radio at the time. Honestly, I wasn't the biggest fan of this song but I have to admit the melody was catchy. The song is about a guy that has totally fallen in love with this girl. He refers to her as a soul sister which I assume is his way of saying soulmate. Based on the lyrics, he feels that they are like-minded and that she was there to guide him in life. It's not clear though whether they ended up together but it's clear that he wishes they were together.

I love the pace of this song. It's actually a bit fast which kind of matches that "drive by" feeling. I believe the drive by is a visual comparison to how some relationships are short or last only one night. In this song, the guy wants the girl to know that he's here for the long run. He wants to be there for her for a long time and not just a "drive by" aka short time.

Drops of Jupiter also known as Tell Me is by far my favorite song by Train. Just a fun fact I found online about this song is that the song was inspired by the leader singers mom dying from cancer. If we look at the lyrics, it actually makes sense because it mentions about going to the atmosphere and heaven being overrated. The song makes sense if you believe that our soul goes up to "heaven". I feel the song is also about being grateful for what his mom did and he hopes that she's happy and at peace now.

If you made it to the end, thank you so much for reading and listening. What do you think of train?
Please don't be afraid to share your three songs every Tuesday! Share the music share the love.

I do not own any of these songs and these are not my YouTube channels; it's just for fair use and sharing new music to everybody. All credit for these songs go to their singer🙏.
