Joining splinterlands is like a dream come through for me, it has been what I've been longing to start for sometime now, so I'm happy I finally achieve my goal by writing my first post and also starting with a social media challenge.
A big shout out to my very good friend, @moremoney28 for coming to my aid, helping me achieve this goal, I can't thank him enough for how far he has helped me.
I started by opening an account with my hive account, linking my hive account to splinterlands game. I spent $10 to purchase the spell book.
At first, some barriers showcase which tried to hinder the smooth lesson my tutor should have given me, like not having a good network, I really battled with it alot, sometimes there won't be network at all for hours, my tutor still was not discouraged, he did his best finding a way around it. Another difficultly I faced was lack personal computer (PC), for now I only make use of the system in my place of work but then the battery is not too good, it could only last for 20 - 30 minutes. However, there's 24 hours solar light, so due to this I do stay back at work after closing hours so as to seize the opportunity to learn more about the game and also play some battles. All these challenges reduced the speed of the tutorial. I think the best thing to do is to play with PC and not with phone, in other to have a very beautiful experience and enjoy the game to the fullest.
I could recollect that yesterday, because of the tutorial I had to stay back in my place of work till 7pm Nigerian time, learning one or two things.
The distance is also a major barrier, had it been my trainer and I is close, I believe we would have concluded the training long time ago. I owe my brother a lot for the patience and teaching, even sometimes we fix meeting in mid night, he's never tired to teach, I really appreciate the kind gesture.

Before now, I've lost some battles but today that I tried again I won two battles which I be sharing one of them today.
I chose Avina of the wolf as my summoner and the monsters I used are as follows;
Grimbardun Fighter as the frontman, who had a shield that reduces sage damage from melee and ranged attacks by 50% and also with a healing ability that restores a third of max health to its unit health each round.
Followed by stitch leech which has the sneak ability.
And then to nimbledook rangerone who has a double strike ability that attacks twice each round.
Down to meriput magician, who also has a healing ability helping to frontman to regain its health after each attack.
And finally, celestial harpy... a monster that has two abilities; with flying ability it has a chance of evading melee or ranged attacks from units who do not have the flying abilities and also opportunity ability with this, it can attack from any position.
At first I thought I would loose because my opponent was obviously having upper hand. it even got to a point that I was left with only one monster in the battle and that was my frontman, what saved me was that it had healing ability, this made it to constantly regain its health, whenever it's being attacked.
The battle lasted twelve rounds and finally I won, it was such an interesting battle.
