Nowadays, one of the most important parts of our daily life is the internet. And the key to keeping this internet running is the WiFi router. We have to rely on this device for various tasks throughout the day. But yesterday, my WiFi router suddenly started showing problems. The internet connection was not working in any way. Although it was a bit annoying at first, I later thought, how about trying it myself before taking it to a mechanic?
For some reason, it seemed to me that there might be a simple fault inside the device.
Thinking that was the task, I decided to open the router with the necessary tools. I carefully loosened the screws on the back of the router and opened it. I was really surprised when the circuit board inside came to light. Due to long-term use, a lot of dust and sand had accumulated inside the router and it was a pile of dirt. If so much dirt accumulates, it is very natural for any electronic device to break or heat up.
I started cleaning the dirt inside very carefully. While cleaning, my attention suddenly fell on a specific place. After observing carefully, I noticed that an important connection or wire inside was completely loose due to tearing. Basically, this torn connection was the reason why the router lost its functionality and looked disconnected.
My confidence increased a lot after catching the problem. Then, I very carefully reconnected the torn connection to its previous place. After completing the connection, I took a good look at the entire circuit board once again. Then, I closed the router's cover as before and turned it on.
When I set everything up and turned on the router, I saw that it was working perfectly. The indicator lights were flashing properly and the internet speed was also back to normal. The joy of fixing a necessary broken item in the house yourself without taking it to a mechanic with a little effort and intelligence is different. It is a really great feeling to be able to successfully complete the work with your own hands. These small experiences increase our confidence a lot.
