Summer means the arrival of the hot sun, and along with it, a unique gift of nature, Madhumas. Currently, the mango season is in full swing all around us. From the market square to the corner of the street, everything is now filled with the reign of the king of fruits. This time is the most beloved and awaited time of the year for everyone in our family. To be honest, not only mangoes, but all of us in the family love to eat any kind of juicy and fresh fruit.
Whenever we go to the market, we see a collection of raw and ripe mangoes of various varieties. Starting from Langra, Himsagar, Gopalbhog to Amrapali, all mangoes have their own taste and aroma. Seeing the green and light yellow mangoes arranged in rows in the fruit shop makes anyone's mouth water. The piles of mangoes arranged by the vendors in the market remind us of the liveliness of this season. Some kind of fruit will now be present in our daily diet at home. Cold mango slices after lunch or a bowl of mango juice during afternoon chat, all together, the atmosphere of the festival is in the house.
Our love for fruit is not limited to mangoes. Along with this abundant mango season, dragon fruit and other seasonal fruits are now available in the market. The bright presence of red and bright dragon fruits along with mangoes in the fruit shop changes the whole atmosphere. Whenever we go to the market, we buy baskets full of various fruits. The vendors can be seen with great care in arranging raw and semi-ripe mangoes beautifully for the buyers, just by opening our eyes. These scenes are part of the eternal summer look of our country.
The joy of eating fruit together as a family is different. It not only provides nutrition to the body, but also makes our family bond sweeter. This fresh gift of nature helps us to stay healthy and refreshed than artificial sweets or processed foods. The ultimate satisfaction of authentic Bengali life lies in enjoying new flavors of fruits every day during this fruit-filled season.
