The real joy of technical work lies in solving a challenging problem yourself. I recently encountered such an exciting experience.
We had a problem with the card reader of one of our banking machines. When I reached the spot after receiving the news, I was quite surprised to see the situation. Several customers, unaware or in a hurry, had inserted their cards upside down into the card reader. As a result, this sensitive mechanism was completely jammed and rendered useless.
Since this is a very important and moving machine, an immediate solution was needed. Without any delay, I decided to open the entire card reader completely, piece by piece. The task was not easy at all. I carefully separated its electronic chip reader, the card insertion path or throat, and its main mechanical body.
I cleaned the dirt and debris stuck inside and carefully examined each delicate part. After about an hour of continuous attention and tireless effort, I was able to reassemble the entire device perfectly as before.
After the repair, when I reinstalled the card reader in the machine and made a test transaction, Alhamdulillah. The machine completed the transaction very well without any errors and became fully operational.
When the desired results are achieved by facing difficult and complex situations with a cool head, that satisfaction is truly different. I would like to request our customers to be a little more aware and careful when using any modern technology device.
