Photography is not just a hobby for me, it is a unique way of being well. When you try to see the world through the lens, even ordinary scenes seem extraordinary. It is with the urge of that love that I spent time on the roof of my house this afternoon. These times spent in close proximity to nature, a little away from the surrounding noise, give me the most peace.
When the leaves of the roof trees became bright in the gentle afternoon sun, my eyes were caught on a small fly. Usually, we don't pay much attention to flies, but rather get annoyed. But today I wanted to see this fly sitting still in the frame of the lens. I moved forward very carefully, holding my breath. The fly seemed to be sitting quite comfortably on the green leaf.
Photography is a test of patience. To capture any moment beautifully, you have to be patient with time. The fly seemed not to be aware of my presence, it was still as it was. I took several close-up photos. The fly's figure and the delicate craftsmanship of its wings against the green leaves seemed to have been carefully painted by nature itself.
I was fascinated by the reddish glow of the fly's eyes and the structure of its body through the lens. We often run around looking for great beauty, but there are countless small wonders of nature hidden right in front of our eyes. All we need is a little attention and a mind to see. Today, I had an extraordinary experience photographing this ordinary fly in the corner of the roof.
These scenes framed in the photo are not just a fly, but the story of my quiet moments that afternoon.
