The PCGS, NGC, and dealers created lists of the most often counterfeited US, Chinese, and international coins based on their diagnostic data and photos from their vast database in order to assist collectors, stackers, and dealers in avoiding becoming victims of counterfeit coins.
But despite that, it is up to the individual to be careful when buying coins, and only from reputable sellers.
1986 China Empress of China Silver 5 Yuan
The first American vessel to visit China for trade was the Empress of China. It was the first commercial ship from the United States to dock in China. Others were inspired to invest in additional trading with China by the voyage's success. From the ship, President Washington purchased a set of Chinese porcelain china.
The obverse of the coin shows the Great Wall of China, and the date of 1986.

The silver 5 yuan coin came in a small but beautiful case with a lovely latch, and a Certificate of Authenticity from the General Manager of the China Mint Company.
It details out the 5 yuan face value, weight of 26,6 grams, diameter of 36MM, and the composition of .90 Fine Silver.
It is a beautiful coin,
in Brilliant Uncirculated condition!
Of course I had to check that it is a silver coin, as I do most of my coins.
