I got a silver bar from Money Metals. This is a poured silver bar. It is 5 ounces, made from .9999 fine silver!
Though there are numerous different bar sizes, I personally find that the 5-ounce silver bullion size works best. They are reasonably priced due to their modest size.
It was difficult to find this size until lately. For the retail market, refiners primarily concentrated on producing three sizes: 1-oz, 10-oz, and 100-oz silver bars.
The reason behind the surge in demand for actual bullion is likely the possibility of financial problems and the possible devaluation of the US currency. For barter and trade, they look for a diversified holding with a range of size options.
The notable value differential between the 1-oz and 10-oz sizes is bridged by the five-ounce silver bar.
Making these bars is efficient. Lower production expenses is the key to lower prices. Because bars have significantly smaller premiums than coins, stackers are drawn to them because purchasing more ounces of silver bullion for their money will optimize the potential increases in the price of the metal, which some believe will rise significantly.
Some think that the best course of action is to just accumulate as many ounces as one can, even though they will probably also fetch a comparable premium when it comes time to sell. It is best to steer clear of purchasing silver bullion bars that are not marked with weight or purity, are irregular in size, or are extremely huge, as they can be difficult to handle and sell.
