Greetings to all, in this beautiful Ladies of Hive Community. Heeding the call of this contest number 204, today I return to participate. Here I share this week's invitation. Thank you @ifarmgirl for these great questions!
I live in a place whose climate is hot and dry, so rains are always considered a blessing, and for me they are, especially since I don't have piped water, and since I have many plants in my home; therefore, when the rains appear after a long and dry summer, it is a reason for joy and happiness; of course I know that, like every year, this will be temporary and that after a few months, the winter or rainy season will end, and the drought will return.
It's not that I hate summer, not at all, my love for rain does not mean that I don't like summer, they are not mutually exclusive, because I know that everything is cyclical, just as it happens in nature, so I receive the rain, as I already said, with joy and happiness. I really like to smell the wet earth, contemplate how the plants and trees grow green, see that the earth quenches its thirst and becomes enriched. Of course, with the rains come thunder and lightning, and that limits me from going out to my backyard, since there are several trees there, and it can be risky to be in the clear.
On rainy days, in addition to enjoying the smell that it brings, the sound of the drops on the roof and on the ground, I also like to cook, especially soups, creams, cakes, breads. I also really like to drink coffee, and think... and the rain creates an atmosphere that makes us more reflective than usual.
Yesterday afternoon it rained a little, but it also thundered quite a bit. There is a man, who is from an indigenous ethnic group in my province, he works in the town square, and today he spoke with my husband, and told him that yesterday's thunder was the farewell to winter... this caused me some sadness, because I know that the plants will lose their leaves again and bear less fruit, but that's nature, everything comes and goes.
Here I end my post today, trying to answer a question that helps us appreciate something that we consider common, but it is valuable and beautiful: Rain. I say goodbye to you, wishing you good health, prosperity and joy, and remember: Not all days are the same and more importantly: Everything you give, everything you do, will inexorably return to you. Saludos a todos en esta hermosa Comunidad de Ladies of Hive. Atendiendo la convocatoria de este concurso número 204, hoy vuelvo a participar. Aquí les comparto la invitación de esta semana. Gracias @ifarmgirl por estas estupendas preguntas!
En esta ocasión responderé la primera pregunta del concurso: Algunas personas son más felices cuando llueve, otras tienden a cambiar de humor y se ponen tristes (tristes o deprimidos). ¿Cómo te sientes normalmente en los días lluviosos y cuáles son tus actividades favoritas para hacer?
Vivo en un lugar cuyo clima es cálido y seco, por lo que las lluvias siempre son consideradas una bendición, y para mí lo son, especialmente al no disponer de agua por tuberías, y al tener muchas plantas en mi hogar; por eso, cuando luego de un largo y seco verano se asoman las lluvias, es motivo de alegría y felicidad; claro sé que, como cada año, esto será temporal y que luego de algunos meses, el invierno o temporada de lluvias cesará, y volverá la sequía.
No es que odie el verano, para nada, mi amor por la lluvia no implica que no me guste el verano, no son excluyentes entre sí, porque sé que todo es cíclico, tal como ocurre en la naturaleza, por lo que recibo la lluvia como ya dije, con alegría y felicidad. Me gusta mucho oler la tierra mojada, contemplar cómo reverdecen las plantas y árboles, ver que la tierra calma su sed y se enriquece. Claro, con las lluvias llegan los truenos, relámpagos y centellas, y eso me limita salir a mi solar, ya que allí hay varios árboles, y puede ser riesgoso estar al escampado.
En los días de lluvia, además de disfrutar el olor que ella trae, el sonido de las gotas en el techo y en la tierra, me gusta también cocinar, especialmente sopas, cremas, tortas, panes. También me agrada mucho tomar café, y pensar… y es que la lluvia crea un ambiente que nos vuelve más reflexivos que de costumbre.
Ayer tarde llovió un poco, pero también tronó bastante. Hay un señor, que es de una etnia indígena de mi provincia, él trabaja en la plaza del pueblo, y hoy habló con mi esposo, y le dijo que los truenos de ayer eran la despedida del invierno… esto me causó algo de tristeza, porque sé que las plantas volverán a perder las hojas y darán menos frutos, pero así es la naturaleza, todo va y viene.
Aquí termino mi post de hoy, intentando dar respuesta a una pregunta que ayuda a apreciar algo que consideramos común, pero es valioso y hermoso: La lluvia. Me despido de ustedes, deseándoles mucha salud, prosperidad y alegría, y recuerden: No todos los días son iguales y más importante aún: Todo lo que das, todo lo que haces, inexorablemente volverá a ti. ¡Abrazos!
