One of the biggest reasons I have moved away from traditional editors for color grading is how simple and flexible the Level and HSV Adjust TOPs are in TouchDesigner. With just these two operators, it becomes easy to control brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, and value in a way that feels immediate and visual. Instead of digging through complex menus, I can quickly shape the look of an image and experiment with different moods in just a few seconds.
What makes these tools even more powerful is that every parameter can be animated. A color grade no longer has to stay static. It can shift, pulse, or evolve over time as part of the visual experience. This opens up creative possibilities that are much harder to achieve in traditional editing software. Whether I want subtle changes or dramatic transformations, Level and HSV Adjust make the process fast, intuitive, and enjoyable.
