Today I wasn't really planning on taking pictures, but somehow I ended up grabbing my phone and taking another selfie. Haha! 😂
I was just relaxing at home, wearing one of my comfortable tops with pink and white stripes, when I noticed that my hair was looking pretty good. And honestly, when you have long hair like mine, you have to appreciate those moments because it doesn't always cooperate!
I had my hair down, falling over my shoulders, and I really liked how it looked. Sometimes I spend so much time trying to style it, and other times I barely do anything and it turns out exactly how I wanted.
Today was one of those lucky days. ❤️
I also decided to keep my makeup pretty simple, although I couldn't resist doing my usual eyeliner. I absolutely love how eyeliner changes the appearance of my eyes. Even when I'm wearing something casual, a little makeup makes me feel more put together.
And yes, I know I look a little serious in this picture. 😂
It's funny because I can take twenty selfies, smile in almost all of them, and somehow end up choosing the one where I'm not smiling at all.
I guess I just liked the expression, the angle, and the way my hair looked in this particular photo.
Sometimes I think we put too much pressure on ourselves to make every picture perfect. We worry about the lighting, our clothes, our makeup, and whether we're smiling enough.
But I've learned that my favorite pictures aren't necessarily the most carefully planned ones. They're usually the random selfies I take when I'm simply enjoying a quiet moment.
I don't always feel like dressing up or going somewhere special. There are days when staying home, listening to music, checking my phone, and having a little time for myself sounds like the best plan in the world.
And today, that was exactly the kind of mood I was in.
I took this picture, looked at it for a moment, and thought, okay, I actually like this one! 😘
Nothing extraordinary happened, and I don't have some amazing adventure to share today. Just a little piece of my everyday life, a comfortable outfit, my favorite eyeliner, and my long black hair doing its thing.
Sometimes that's more than enough to make me smile.
Well, maybe not in the picture. Haha! 😂💗
