Plot
The story focuses on an indigenous family that is dedicated to the cultivation of their land and live off their crops, this family consists of a father who is an older man of strong character like anyone who has a difficult job, few words with his wife and two teenage sons, one of them keeps newspaper articles as a great treasure and before going to sleep dreams of becoming a famous runner while his brother just wants to spend time with his girlfriend.
The young man who has a girlfriend starts to be bothered by gangs and drug traffickers, but they notice that he is a very good runner so they make him a proposal to work with them and he accepts, since his girlfriend is pregnant, a very easy pretext for a person who does not have firm principles, and is tempted by ambition.
At the beginning everything was going well, he managed to have a house in the town and certain luxuries and although he did not grow up with them, they still wanted them and it seemed easy for him to get them, but everything gets complicated when on his way he is intercepted by a patrol while transporting drugs and to survive he had to deviate from the main road falling into a river and losing part of the merchandise. From this moment his life changed, because he was indebted to drug traffickers, involving his entire family, who forced him and his brother to traffic tirelessly as slaves, their lives no longer belonged to them.
In order not to make spoilers because from here comes the interesting part of the film, I close by commenting that because of a bad decision of this young man the whole family suffered serious consequences, where there is no law that can protect you.

Argumento
La historia se enfoca en una familia indígena que se dedica al cultivo de sus tierras y viven de sus cosechas, esta familia está formada por un padre que es un señor mayor de carácter fuerte como toda persona que tiene un trabajo difícil, de pocas palabras junto a su esposa y dos hijos adolescentes, uno de ellos conserva artículos de prensa como un gran tesoro y antes de dormir sueña en convertirse en un corredor famoso mientras su hermano solo quiere pasar tiempo con su novia.
El joven que tiene novia lo empiezan a molestar las bandas y los narcotraficantes, pero observan que es muy buen corredor por lo que le hacen una propuesta para que trabajen con ellos y este acepta, ya que tiene su novia embarazada, un pretexto muy fácil para una persona que no tiene firme sus principios, y se deja tentar por la ambición.
Al principio todo marchaba bien logró tener una casa en el pueblo y ciertos lujos y aunque no creció con ellos igual los deseaban y le pareció fácil conseguirlos, pero todo se complica cuándo en su camino es interceptado por una patrulla mientras trasladaba droga y para sobrevivir tuvo que desviarse del camino principal cayendo en un río y perdiendo parte de la mercancía. Desde este momento su vida cambió, porque quedó en deuda con los narcotraficantes, involucrando a su familia completa, que lo obligaron a él y a su hermano a traficar sin descanso como unos esclavos, ya sus vidas no les pertenecían.
Para no hacer spoiler porque a partir de aquí viene lo interesante de la película, cierro comentando que por una mala decisión de ese joven toda la familia sufrió graves consecuencias, donde no hay ley que te pueda resguardar.

Once you get into the world of drugs, it is almost impossible to get out without collateral damage, and I am not referring to consumption, but also to sale and distribution. More than an action movie, it leaves a beautiful message to the resilience of the incorruptible spirit of one of the brothers, who resists and fights to achieve his dreams.
Although it is a fictional film and I don't know if it is based on a book or novel, I believe that to make it they had to have real stories to inspire it because I don't doubt that things like this happen in the territory where it was signed and with people from this area, although it is also a story that can be adapted to any indigenous culture living in similar areas.
The direction and the various shots gave a plus to the story, highlighting the key object of the races: the feet, every so often, showed the obstacles they overcame and I found them as exciting as they were beautiful.
Another point I can't fail to mention is the soundtrack, with typical rhythms of indigenous songs and wind sounds, a delight for my ears.
I had no knowledge of this culture or their way of life, watching the film taught me about them and motivated me to continue researching about the Rarámuris which in their language means light runners, I feel very happy when I learn something while I invest time in my favorite recreation, the movies.
It is a beautiful movie with a very real plot that will keep you glued to your chair. I recommend for the whole family and if there are children to watch with adult guidance. It is sadly beautiful, but it won't make you cry, it will just leave you thinking for a few days.

Es una producción realizada en el idioma español. Sus actores poseen rasgos físicos ideales para caracterizar a los personajes, tanto los protagonistas indios como el americano que hizo el papel de gringo.
El ambiente está desarrollado en un 90% en la naturaleza, mostrando paisajes únicos, riberas y montañas con climas fríos y áridos. También se pueden ver bosques en todo su esplendor, para los que les gusta la naturaleza disfrutarán de las maravillosas vistas.
El ritmo estuvo bien equilibrado entre la calma y el suspenso, no me sentí aburrida en ningún momento y el tiempo que duró sentí que fue perfecto para el desarrollo de la historia.
El mensaje es profundo y reflexivo, además de claro y contundente sobre los atajos que a veces se presentan en la vida. El dinero fácil nunca trae buenas consecuencias y, por lo general, termina destruyendo hogares. Una vez que se entra en el mundo de las drogas, es casi imposible salir sin daños colaterales, y no me refiero al consumo, sino también a la venta y distribución. Más que una película de acción, deja un mensaje hermoso a la resistencia del espíritu incorruptible de uno de los hermanos, quien se resiste y lucha por alcanzar sus sueños.
Aunque es una película de ficción y no sé si está basada en algún libro o novela, creo que para realizarla tuvieron que tener historias reales que la inspiraran porque no dudo que cosas así sucedan en el territorio donde fue firmada y con pobladores de esta zona, aunque también es una historia que se puede adaptar a cualquier cultura indígena que viva en zonas similares.
La dirección y los diversos planos le dieron un plus a la historia, destacando el objeto clave de las carreras: los pies, cada cierto tiempo, mostraban los obstáculos que superaban y me parecían tan emocionantes como hermosas.
Otro punto que no puedo dejar de mencionar es la banda sonora, con ritmos típicos de cantos indígenas y sonidos de vientos, un deleite para mis oídos.
No tenía conocimiento de esta cultura ni de su forma de vivir, mirar la película me enseñó sobre ellos y me motivó a seguir investigando sobre los rarámuris que en su lengua significa corredores ligeros, me siento muy contenta cuando aprendo algo mientras invierto tiempo en mi esparcimiento favorito, el cine.
Es una hermosa película con una trama muy real que te mantendrá pegado a la silla. Yo recomiendo para toda la familia y si hay niños que se vean con la orientación de los adultos. Es tristemente hermosa, pero no te hará llorar, solo te dejará pensando por unos días.
