‎When we talk about education, the first things that come to people's minds are good grades, flying colours in examinations, and academic performance. But education goes beyond what a student scores in an examination. One of the greatest lessons a student receives is not written on the board; it sometimes comes from the support of a teacher.

‎I was teaching at a private school, and the principal would always tell me that every student has different abilities. She always said that some can learn quickly, while others need more time to understand what the teacher is teaching. And, you see, I have observed that some students start to feel that they are not intelligent simply because they find some subjects difficult. This is where a teacher's attitude becomes very important to the student.
‎
‎Just imagine a student who is afraid to answer questions in the classroom because he is afraid of making mistakes. If the teacher continues to embarrass that student, their fear may become worse, and the student may not even try to participate in class anymore.
‎
‎But when the teacher encourages the student with love and always tells that student to try again, even after giving a wrong answer, something positive can definitely begin to happen. The student's confidence will grow, and they will try their best to participate in class.
‎
‎Most importantly, students come from different backgrounds, and they may be facing challenges that are not recognized in the classroom. So when the teacher shows patience and tries to understand a child, this can help the child develop.
‎
‎I know teachers cannot solve every problem a student faces. But what a teacher needs to do is try and make an effort- not give up on a student just because they are not trying.
‎
‎So a very good teacher does not only helps students pass their examinations; a good teacher also helps students discover their potential and build the confidence to believe in themselves.
