Hey guys, I'm revisiting Romania, specifically the city of Bucharest. Since my first visit, I've been amazed at how nice this city is. Comparing it to our own capital, Athens, I find Bucharest to be miles ahead in terms of infrastructure. The metropolitan area of Bucharest has a population of 2,304,408, while Athens has a population of 3,059,764. Athens is larger, but they are close in size.

What I liked the most are the parks. I don't think I've ever been to a city with so many parks. Herăstrau Park, Cismigiu Parc, Carol Park, and Tineretului Park are each large enough to walk, run, or just sit and relax. They all have lakes where you can lose yourself and escape from any anxiety. Having nature within these big cities, without being extremely distant from each other and close to the city centers, feels like paradise.Image from thread

Athens is nothing like this. Yes, it has small parks and beautiful hills, but not parks where you can go and feel like you're not in the same city.Image from thread

I also liked that Bucharest has some really good roads inside the city. They're not perfect, but compared to Greece's roads, they're excellent.Image from thread
Now, if I have to say whether Bucharest is a great tourist destination, I believe not yet. Yes, it's big, but the food scene still lacks diversity and multiculturalism. The museums are not that great either. Image from thread

I enjoy visiting the Natural History Museum almost everywhere I go, but in Bucharest, it felt more like a children's museum with very little to see.Image from thread

However, the nightlife is really good, and while the historical center isn't anything special, overall, I believe Bucharest has the potential to become a really great city to visit. Next time I'm in Romania, I'll probably visit some of the more traditional cities of the country.
