Today I had a long fly from Thessaloniki to Dubai and the best way to spend that time is reading a book and watching films! I watched Uncharted.

First off, let me just say, as someone who's spent countless hours immersed in the Uncharted game series, I was beyond hyped for this movie. And while it wasn't without its flaws, overall, it was a wild ride that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Let's start with the positives. Tom Holland absolutely nailed it as Nathan Drake. I mean, sure, I had my doubts at first, but he brought Nate's humor, wit, and charm to life in a way that felt authentic. It was like seeing the character jump off the screen and into real life! And can we talk about the action sequences? They were adrenaline-pumping, edge-of-your-seat thrills that had me hooked from start to finish.

Mark Wahlberg as Sully was a bit of a mixed bag for me. Don't get me wrong, he did a decent job, but there were moments where it felt like he was just going through the motions. Still, he had his moments, and seeing him and Tom Holland bounce off each other was a treat.

Now, onto the story. While it captured the essence of Uncharted with its globe-trotting adventures and treasure hunting, there were times when it felt like it was trying too hard to cram in too many references from the games. And don't even get me started on the flashback scenes. They felt a bit lackluster and didn't quite hit the mark for me.

But hey, it's not all bad! The movie did have its fair share of surprises and twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. And the post-credits scene? Let's just say it left me hungry for more!

In the end, Uncharted may not have been a perfect adaptation, but it was a darn good time watching it. So, whether you're a die-hard fan of the games or just looking for a fun adventure flick, I'd say give it a shot.

And now, the wait for the sequel begins. Here's hoping they iron out the kinks and deliver an even bigger and better adventure next time around!
